Automatic light control??

You would be paying quite the premium just to get the feature!
I'm a Canadian who just purchased a 2007 US version for import. I have to get DRLs just to be up to standard - Getting the auto headlight system installed would be the most elegant solution. I've been googling high and low for the auto headlight part numbers. I'm going to check if the Canadian dealers can install the parts.
Otherwise, I'll have to go the hamsar route.

Can you tell us if your US version has the standard headlights or the HID? Would be interesting to know especially if the dealer can modify it for you.

I have the standard halogens (pkg3; pkg4 and up are HID).

Little OT:
I figured the HIDs couldn't be run as DRLs (partial intensity) - and wasn't sure if fogs or ambers would pass as drls.

I found two that were willing to sell - they both wanted a premium for selling to a Canadian of course. I ended up paying invoice+100 (when a regular US buyer would have gotten invoice or lower).

 

Just to report back - I checked with four Vancouver (Canada) area dealers and none of them knew much about installing the auto light control system.
