Maybe by chance you have photos of your US mirror (preferably disassembled) + turn signal and cover No3, to see how different they are?
I trust you that if it was doable, you wouldn't order new parts though :)
But locally, our workshop guys are very creative to fix unfixable parts :)
I'm still thinking cutting/glueing might work? I understand these parts would become a single piece and I would lose option to change parts, but I don't really care much.

Hi! Any update on a video or some pics to perform this mod? :)
It's a shame the US version is so "gimped" VS the rest of the world ... I have been eagerly following this thread to get a better idea of what would be involved in this mod if I purchased the US version and alas it seems like quite a bit... o_O

Because of that I am debating potentially just buying the South Korean version of the Prius Prime PHEV (I'm not an owner yet but have been considering one for a while) and importing that into the US for this + many other reasons (ie: South Korea is LHD + it seems to already has TPMSS + the FMVSS plate attached + more color options, etc.). The only thing I'm not sure about is the EPA regulatory requirement and labels. Those AFAICT are different / missing from the South Korean version. Since these are all manufactured and exported from Japan (and this is a hyper-efficient Prius we're talking about ;)) surely it would not be an issue?? Does anyone know if one could just use the existing EPA certificate & buy the appropriate US labeling?

    Thanks!

I took a risk and ordered turn lights, so yesterday I finally fitted them. :)
Had to cut one plastic clip and it fitted perfectly. Did not need any screws or glueing inside it sits firmly.
I believe it's possible to do this even without removing mirror, but it's cold outside, 0C (~30F), so I took it home.

    Here is video: https://youtube.com/shorts/Gn1QhEP7CPA?feature=share

    Notes:
    1. Start by removing mirror top cover.
    2. I took out mirror glass, it kind of helped releasing bottom cover clips from inside, but probably it's not needed, and you risk ungluing blind spot LED from mirror... Not a big problem, it was attached by double tape. If you decide to remove it, be careful, after it detaches, keep it close to mirror body. Then gently rotate a bit to reach and push bottom cover clips at the sides of mirror. It will pop out easily once those two clips are released.
    3. Cut 1 plastic clip at the side and 1 plastic bar on mirror side.
    4. Connect wires to turn signal LED, I did not have connector, but I used common jump wires which are used for DIY projects, Arduino, Raspberry, etc. They attached firmly to pins. Fixed with hot glue.
    5. Remove mirror arm cover and run wire through it.
    6. Attach bottom cover together with turn signal. Look at cover pins direction, you will see how to attach it.
    7. Attach top cover.
    Parts:

Ordered parts from Impex Japan, it was bit cheaper than Amayama, but took very long, 5-6 weeks.
Previously I ordered parts from Amayama, got them in one week...

I used same parts from OP (without PWM as my car does not have Panoramic view):

    Code:
$19 81730-47030 Lamp Assy, Side Turn Signal, RH
$19 81740-47020 Lamp Assy, Side Turn Signal, LH
    $11 8791B-47760 Cover, Outer Mirror, RH No.3
    $11 8794B-47740 Cover, Outer Mirror, RH No.3

Hey there, how did you wire it up? Where can I wire it up? Thank you!

This part is not done yet. I'll try to wire during weekend.

Hammersmith posted hints how to wire it and some wiring diagrams in this thread.

I checked connector O9 inside drivers door (one where mirror harness connects to). It actually has wires in pins 5 (black, turn signal) and 9 (ground). But as Hammersmith told they are connected in harness which leads to K25 :(. Tried pin 5 with multimeter while turn signal on.

So, my plan is to tap into wires going to rear turn lights under driver footwell.
According to diagram they should be Yellow (LH) and light blue (RH):

I pulled out car sill and cables are right bellow it. Bunch of them, have to find right ones:
It looks like there is only one Yellow, but there is more than one light blue. So, I guess I will have to try one by one using needle. If you have better idea how to check cables, please let me know.

    upload_2024-11-27_10-35-41.png upload_2024-11-27_10-21-20.png upload_2024-11-27_10-21-43.png upload_2024-11-27_10-21-55.png

I will start with yellow cable, which is LH, for passenger side.
To not run additional cable through door harness, I think I will reuse black cable which leads to O9 pin 5 (it originally is meant for turn signal, I will only tap it to yellow rear turn signal cable).

    Any suggestions are welcome.
