Anyone positive about voice recognition?

Yeah, I'm positive that I don't have it

 

Just picked up my '06 yesterday, and after reading several negative voice recognition experiences posted here, was surprised at how well the first dozen or so voice commands I tried worked. When a command was not recognized correctly, it was probably because of loud traffic noise.

I'm wondering if there were some improvements in the voice recognition system in the 2006 model.

 

Mine worked fine also, was pleased with it.

 

I am new to this chat forum so stick with me if I do something wrong. I have mixed feelings about the voice recognition because some days it understands and some days it doesnt. Must be the way I am pronouncing words. But what I really want to know is..........................can you or can anyone out there reading this reply steer me to a list of all the recognizable comands for all items controllable by voice comand. I am more interested in NON MAP commands.

 

I have a V710 and I love the voice recognition on that. I guess it is useless if your connect to the car though, huh?

As far as the bluetooth phone part....

I find it outstanding! Dial by name and dial by number/digit dialing work great!

I'm amazed by how well it does digit dialing. I can say the number pretty fast and it works every time.

As far as the NAV goes....

I believe it's just OK. I've had a few times where it does something totally opposite of what I said. I mean, it's not even anything near what I said. LOL! :lol:

That being said, I still have a lot to learn about the NAV stuff anyway, so maybe sometimes I'm doing something wrong.
