Your 1st post was Today at 12:17 AM !!! That's just after midnight Wednesday morning ??? When did you leave Carson? Did you see other PIP owners getting their cars? Who gave you the Turnover? Were the Tech Instructions complete before you drove off? What would you suggest to make the Turnover more complete?
I think I got to Carson at about 5:30pm PT. Left around 7:15 to 7:30. Got home at 8:15. There was one person also picking up a PiP. I was the first one to leave the lot with a PiP, as far as I know. Dianne handled the sale. I didn't want to stay for the Tech instructions (too anxious to drive it home). No suggestions from me. To me less is more. It was painless.
Thanks Lurk. Hopefully you don't get overwhelmed with all the questions, since you are the 1st one driving the PIP and everyone is so anxious. Thanks for being there.
Well fuely does not handle volt's well. No way to input electricity usage and it only updates gas when you fillup. I'm one of the Volts on there. My last fillup was in October.. 2700+ miles since then (stil have 1/4 tank). So when you only fill up 3-4 times a year its going to be kinda crude estimates. Maybe the Volt+PiP owners can coordinate request sto get Fully to add electricity and MPGe tracking..
Thanks for the updates.. I'm have a hard time parsing the bottom line to understand what is means and how its related to Trip A and Trip B..
It is a summary of percent of total, so 9mi was on EV or 10% of total mileage (lifetime). 90% was on HV.
so is it true you can go just on EV mode? What range are you getting just on EV mode say in city traffic at 45miles/hr?. My thought is to use the PIP in city in EV mode and in Hybrid mode for highway and would like to know what range in pure EV mode.
The only scenario I can play with until the weekend is my commute to/from work. That is about 20 miles freeway and 5 city. The 20 miles is generally 7 miles of crawling, 7 about 45mph, and 6 at 70mph. I'm trying to use the EV on the 7 miles of crawling and 5 city.
LurkAzusa. Your commute is exact as mine. My total commute one way is 24 miles with about 20 on freeway and rest in city with 45 mph. The speed is same as yours so technically what you are doing is what I would be doing. Let me know how it goes. How many miles on EV are you getting at the city drive and then how much is left so that if you have to take an extra run for errands if you can still do it in EV or not? If the EV mode isnt going to be close to 12 - 15 as Toyota had stated I might just not pick up my PIP.
So yesterday, you drove 51.5 miles and averaged 67 MPG with one charge. What MPG were you getting with your 2005 Prius? Did you reset the Trip A this morning? Or does it automatically reset every day? P.S: From the manual's screenshots, I thought the EV/HV ratio is shown separately for Trip A and Trip B.
2005 Prius I averaged 46.5 actual. Usually 2 less than Prius reported. I reset Trip A this morning, it did not automatically reset. EV/HV ratio isn't any different between A and B. Today: Trip A: 25.7mi Cons. 99mpg Avg 31mph Trip B (lifetime): 116.7mi Cons. 57mpg Avg 21mph EV: 17% 20mi 4Kwh HV: 83% 96mi 2G Saved: .3G I ran it full EV for 12.3mi. About 1-2 miles were above 45mph. The rest was stop and go 15-25mph.
Ok, here is the info after the drive home. Trip A: 51.5mi Cons. 69mpg Avg 28mph Trip B (lifetime): 142.5mi Cons. 57mpg Avg 21mph EV: 14% 20mi 4kwh HV: 86% 122mi 2G Saved: .3G
