I posted somewhere about this. My feelings echo other posts I've seen here: don't buy a first year model car. The 10s are just enough different to have a few bugs which need to be worked out. The best cars to buy are the gen II 06s to 09s. They will be cheaper when the 10s are shortly in the showrooms.
If it makes you feel better firing at people buying 2010s. Go for it. You'll have thousands to shoot at.
More like content with the current model (2004) rather than caring less about new model. Course the finances have a part in that, cause no way I could/would get a 2010 with the sunroof (biggest new feature for me). So while I am happy about the increases in performance and bigger size (reducing even further any talk of compromising), it doesn't the new one is even less of a compromise it doesn't have quite the same level of groundbreaking technology. Then again, I haven't had a chance to drive a 2010 yet to try out the different modes and other neat new things, so maybe I would be more excited after having a chance to be in 2010.
I dropped by the dealer and looked at the 2010. Innterior and exterior looks, I prefer my 2009 style. I didn't have a desire to come back to drive one. I'm guessing the people that have Gen II and raving about the new look are just bored of looking at what they have now. Wait till the Lithium, now there's something to get excited about.
