I don't care for black, shows dust easily, especially on the piano black trim, does make the interior look small and cheap. I've had beige in an Outback and liked it, earthy. My Honda Ridgeline has multi shade gray which I've grown to like.
I live in North Carolina and I always try to park in the shade during our 5 month summer. I much prefer a beige interior.
My significant other hated the beige interior of our 2004 Prius. It was difficult to keep it clean and she refused to buy any car after that unless it had a dark interior. Her Subaru Crosstrek only came in a light colored interior, so I had to have a 3rd party, black leather interior done before she was satisfied. Our later Prii all had/have dark interiors. JeffD
Don't miss beige, but I do like some color. Wanted the brick, black with dark red, in the Sonic. The Outback is brown, though their beige/black interior was also nice looking.
Yeah our 06 Civic Hybrid had a beige interior, even beige fabric on frequent-contact areas, door armrests for example. Never again...
my 04 and 08 had beige cloth, i didn't have any problems, but only 4 years of ownership. current 12 is grey cloth and looks like new
Had to replace the beige door handle area on my old HCH, in order to sell it. It wouldn't clean-off and didn't match the rest of the door panel. I just rather deal with the dust on black cloth - at least that vacuums up.
and yet all these new EVs are being offered with a white interior! No idea how those are being kept up - Even me, who's particularly about keeping cars clean, will find it very hard to keep a white interior looking new. I'm ok with beige but never with white.
