    What’s your driving style?

Average mile per kWh on the display?

To get 37 miles on a charge, you have to drive VERY conservatively .

Te computer also learns from how you drive to more accurately predict how many miles you get on a charge ;).

I’d look at how you drive before assuming the battery is degrading (y).

Range will undergo radical changes with the seasons. You'll see that in the miles/kWh stats. Last March I was getting 37+ miles in my '17. In the summer, with the heat and A/C load, I was getting about 30. Now we're in a "cold" spell with lows in the low 50s or upper 40s. range is under 30. Looking at my miles/kWh, it was about 5.8 back in March, 5.2 in the summer, and now in the mornings it's down to about 4.9 miles/kWh. So, it's not that there's less battery capacity. It just takes more electricity under these conditions and the battery is less efficient. People in the way-up north where it actually does get cold are sometimes under 2 miles/kWh.

Btw, leaving it with a full charge for long periods will hurt the battery capacity after a while, so heed the advice in the manual about using the charge scheduler.

Did a 56 mile round trip this morning. Stayed on EV till it ran out at just over 31 miles. It was mostly 40-50 mph with some 55 and some 30 mph stretches that had lots of speed humps. Charged at home while we ate lunch and then ran 8-10 miles more of short errands. Got 5.4 m/kWh on the day. Temperatures started out at about 65F and rose to nearly 80 while running errands. Ran either heat or air most of the time.

Most of the time, FL is the armpit of North America. This time of the year, it's not so bad. Love bugs are done copulating all over our windshields, humidity is lower, don't have to mow every three days. But now we have the snowbirds. And, if it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Fare numbers of Floridians migrate northwards to our neighborhood every summer. The migration season is over now. They flocked away to home South. I don't see the citrus license plate cars on our roads anymore. LOL

Maybe we should join them when I retire. LOL! I've always wanted to visit Maine, Vermont, & New Hampshire. I've been in every state except the NE states, ND, and Alaska. We're thinking of checking off Alaska this summer to celebrate our 45th anniversary.

When I was much younger, I dreamed of living in Alaska. The dream never came true. Instead, I moved to Northern Minnesota and actually lived in North Dakota for a while. Don't remember ever seeing Florida license plate there. Is there any tourist attraction in ND? With shale oil business booming, ND supposed to be one of a very good state to retire considering the cost of living and quality of life factors. But I don't know if I want to move up there again.:(

I went to school in British Columbia and a guy in my dorm was our only student from ND. He had a "Ski North Dakota" poster. I wish I could find one now. It had a straight, horizontal line on a white background. The line made a small drop at about the middle and then continued flat. If I remember all the details right, they were just line drawings and all that was on it was a fence, a skier at the top of the "hill," and a tiny and distant tree.

Humm, ski in North Dakota? I did not explore much of the state but driving on I-94, I don't think there were much elevation changes. Ski requires a mountain. Is there one?

AFAIK, it's pretty much as depicted in the old poster. Flatter than Florida. But it doesn't really need a mountain if you have cross country skis or can grab a cow's tail.

OK, I Googled. I did not find the poster that fit the description.
But I found this one. The narrative matches what I remember of the sate.

Unless you accidentally get on a black diamond slope on your first ski trip. I fell father than I skied. I was so tired at the bottom that I was down on all fours puking in the snow. I still don't like moguls.

The one and only time I went skiing, my friends pulled a similar trick:cool:.

    Never been skiing since;).

The wife broke her ankle on a snowboard many years back, so we don’t have a reason to venture up to the tops of mountains in the winter:).

Plenty of other things to do rather than fight the crowds in Tahoe or the surrounding areas(y).

Cool! I saw that one, too. I was thinking there was a tiny little skier at the top of the "hill." But it is a 45+ year old memory, so some degradation is not surprising.

Anyway, I haven't been skiing in about 20 years. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I had the chance, though.

Anyway #2, we seriously hijacked this thread, didn't we? :notworthy:
