    2 years in RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) in the Vietnam era. Downside was when the politicians of the day decided we had too many pilots and not enough aeroplanes, so I and most of my pilots course were told our service was no longer required. :(

    Still, on the good side, the Air Force introduced me to computers, which ended up being the major part of my career.
