Do you think a shorter annual or monthly subscription is also not limited to a specific model of car? For example, if I buy a 1-month subscription, can I use it on multiple models of the paid apps (advanced diag and customization)?

    From Carista:

    Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Carista.
The beauty of Carista is that when you have the PRO version you can use it on compatible cars without the need to purchase different licenses for different brands or markets.
We always invent new tools that work on more and more cars. You can always check if your car is compatible: Carista OBD2 supported vehicles | See what’s available for your car - Carista
You can use Carista on your cars, your friends cars and so on, with only 1 PRO license.
All changes that you have made during the PRO version are saved in the car and will remain active regardless if you continue purchasing Carista or not. You just wont be able to make new changes.
Please, do not hesitate to let me know if you need more assistance.

I was able to modify everything I wanted in Carista except for one annoying thing. The damn leave your car with the key and the car still on beeping. OH MY GOSH it is the most annoying thing to not be able to grab some mail or do something quick without having to physically leave the key in the car or turn the damn thing off before stepping out of it. Does anyone know of a program that can silence that stupid beeping!?

As far as I know, even a Toyota Techstream diagnostic system can change only the settings listed in the Repair Manual (more info) topics linked from General: Introduction: Repair Instruction: Customize Parameters. I didn’t see any mention there of a setting to suppress the warning message or buzzer when the key is removed from the car with the hybrid system running.

I realize you’re just stepping away briefly, but I imagine Toyota was concerned with the requirements of FMVSS No. 114, S5.1.3, for example, and with other scenarios having potentially serious consequences. Leaving the hybrid system on without a driver present might lead to a theft or rollaway, and if the car is left running in an enclosed space, there could be a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Driving a great distance without realizing that the key had been left far behind could also be more than a small inconvenience.

I used techstream from Toyota, and connect my laptop with mini VCI, techstream is really great to do such things, you could even run a live test for any ECU in your car
