Good tips Rich. I religiously have checked both for years.

UPDATE: For the last 12 tankfuls of gas, I have alternated between 35-36 mpg and then 43-44 mpg per tank. I have reset the inclinometer without results. Again, this is something new for my Prius after 3 years of regular MPG of 43. I'd call Toyota again, but my work sched is killer right now. Oil and tire pressure is fine. No other changes have occurred to day trips or the vehicle. Its scheduled for routine service next month, so I will check with Toyota service. I'm starting to get the impression that Toyota really doesn't know how to fix these problems, or at least have an answer as to why it occurs.
