    I am on my second Yellow Top. The "Smart Key System" has proven to be a drain on this circuit. I have also noticed better mileage after replacing the 12v ACC battery. i assumed it was because the car was using the mecanics and the power battery to charge a faulty battery.

    The problem with the yellow top compared to most other Prius fit, and OEM batteries is it's reduced capacity about 18%. Over the last couple of years there have been a number of reports of faulty or low level of charge new yellow top batteries.
