adventures with the PHV model Prius

    The cargo volume of the demo units should be a bit smaller due to the raised cargo floor. I recall the PHV version being over 300 lbs heavier but the weight distribution was better (from 60:40 to 55:45).

    I hope the production version eliminate the raised cargo floor and make the car lighter as well.

    I just hope to attain that they don't make the pack smaller thus reducing EV range. 13 miles EV isn't all that much and going less would kill the plug in Prius for me, and I am sure many others as well.

    You know what just hit me?

    PHV Prius should get more MPG than the 80 MPG Super Car (pre-2008 optimistic rating) way back from PNGV during Clinton administration.

    After almost 20 years later, that goal is about to come true at an affordable price.

    Prius emerged in response to that effort... and now ultimately will be the first to achieve the goal.
