So I finally mounted, for real (not photoshoped), the test BRZ wheels my friend let me borrow since his has tires. Ended up buying ebay hub centric 3mm spacers, McGard spline lug nuts 12x1.5 and locks, and ebay hub centering rings (56.1-54.1) to go along with this set up.

. . . but I do have a full set of BRZ wheels, just without tires at the moment. FRS center caps are on the way.

wanted to see how long the McGard's were compared to the OEM ones in case I end up getting longer wheel studs to add more space between the wheels and brake calipers. OEM on screen left

You can see how little the space is going from 56.1 to 54.1 is.

The hub rings are super tight in the wheel so after testing one and squeezing it in the wheel, I decided not to use them on my borrowed BRZ wheels since they are so thin and fragile. Didn't want to wait another 2 weeks for them to come from Lithuania. I was a little worried not having centering rings will shake at speed. To my surprise, they are smooth. I wonder if it was to do with the McGard spline lugs and the way the seating is on the lugs. Anyways I do plan on putting on the centering rings, maybe put some anti seize, so they don't get too stuck and break later on.

Please excuse the dirty car, it's been 2 weeks or so, didn't want to wait to take photos though . . .

You're getting pretty good at Photoshop!! (y)

Nice shading and use of the 3D features to rotate the car and wheels around. Never tell it wasn't for real...

The lug nuts you are using have the wrong kind of seating surface. The oem has a flat washer type seat. The FRS wheels are Scion/Toyota, so don't they have the same type of seat as the oem wheels?

I'm using the McGard splines for the BRZ wheels. I was just showing a comparison of the oem ones to the McGards that I bought for reference.

Finally got my BRZ wheels mounted the other day. Even these photos don't do it the justice of seeing this combo in person. Bought the wheels and tires from 2 different sources. Ironically both were off of 2015 BRZs with less then 100 miles on each. The Michelin Primacy HP tires have a nice noticeable grip and response difference over the Bridgestone Ecopia tires my Prius came with, and the Ecopia's still have like 90% tread still.

Anyways some quick shots at dusk by my work. Yes, needs a mild drop. TRD springs are what I've been thinking of.

Could you provide some info on where you got your leather wrapped shift knob for Left Hand drive? I tried to search Ebay and only found right hands from Japan.
