The yaris fogs i think are a better deal for us 2012 owners cause we don't require the bezels that the 10-11 use

It turns out you do need to remove the bumper because of the clips:

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340475525.766145.jpg

    The fog light hole:

Total screws, bolts and clips: 26

More pics and possibly a DIY on bumper removal later.

I have to say removing that grille is extremely time consuming. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340476054.551780.jpg
Removing it in my hatch to avoid scratching the bottom of the bumper lol

    EDIT: the grille is in!

The fog lights will be a CINCH to install. Just pop open the lower passenger and driver side plastic cover, reach in and insert into tabs and then secure with a shorty philips screw driver.

EDIT: actually, I lied. If I want to ensure a clean, OEM-like install, I'm gonna have to remove the bumper again so I can wire-tie the fog light harness onto the existing OEM turn signal and DRL harness anchored onto the front bumper (UNLESS I can do it WITHOUT having to remove the entire bumper, i.e. removing only the segment surrounding the Toyota emblem and carefully pulling it back...:

    Other side of bumper.jpg

The bumper removal process, my first time on a whim, took about 30 mins. There are a total of 26 clips, screws and bolts combined. The sides and bottom of the bumper is easy, but the top was a little tricky - lots of clips and hidden bolts. Removing the OEM grille was a challenge.

They are all clipped in and you need a flat head screw driver to pop the tabs out. And there were about 20 tabs altogether. I suggest popping all the tabs on the top of the grille, the side, and remove the two white clips that hold the lower left & right dangling tab onto the bottom of the bumper first, then pull along the lower grill to dislodge the tabs. Installing the grille on the other hand, is extremely easy; just align the tabs with clips and pop it in. Just make sure that the bottom line of clips are aligned to the bumper FIRST! You don't want to be caught in the middle of popping all the upper tabs in only to find out the bottom is not aligned. This mean you'll need to dislodge the top tabs again!!

I'm typing up a DIY on the bumper removal as I reply, lols. I am going to follow this installation guide for 2010-2011 Prius fog lights or at least use it as a guideline:

    http://priuschat.com/attachments/priuschat_fog_lamp_install_prius_color-pdf.23488/

But if the Yaris lights are drastically different, definitely a DIY in the horizon. I wrote a bunch of DIY for my RSX and can't wait to expand my knowledge of the Prius by writing DIYs for it :D, either case, it shouldn't be too difficult. About the most difficult part is routing the wires through the firewall and/or removing the front bumper.

Yep! It's for the 2010-2011 Prius, so the instructions may be a little off (for example, the Prius fog lamp kit has 2 relays where as the Yaris one has one, as far as I can tell)

Here's another shot of the Prius 5 grille in:

    EDIT:
Now with satin silver lower side moldings!

OT, but you should of replaced your OEM (anemic) horns with some louder ones while you had the front bumper off:

LOL! I thought about upgrading the horns, but I realize I never really use the horn in my previous cars anyhow.

Look what just got delivered though:

Nice... about the horns though, you never know, right? Just the other week, a lady tried to change lanes, only problem was I was right there in her blind spot. A long blast of my high/low freeway blaster horns literally had her jump in her seat and snap back into her lane. :p

lol you're right, the Prius horn sounds kinda weak. Need to look into this as a future project :).

Might consider these JDM Toyota Prius premium horns:

Yes & no.......the fog were for the Yaris bit i gutted them & retros the blazer projector fog. I painted the chrome & halo a metallic Blk topped with a UV protective clear.

The Yaris fogs came complete with switch & wiring harness from ebay. $70 shipped.

Actually it was pretty easy for me. I had the bumper off in 8 mins & the grill only took me another 15mins. What's taking me the longest is the wiring. I've modded the harness to my liking.

Cool, let us know how the blazers perform for you. I had them retrofitted into my RSX fog lights by custom lightz and was thoroughly satisfied with their output (powered by 35w 3000K hid)

    It's done.

I have the relay wired so that the parking lights trigger it.

Hey Sean you modified your drls to stay on with parking lights? Could you give me a quick run down on what to tap? Ive never really checked but I thought once parking lights go on the DRLs go off, or is it once the headlights go on they shut off. Car looks good man my grill and fogs should be here by the end of the week.

    Thx.

I didn't change the wiring on them. The DRLs turn off once the headlights turn on......
