ADD fog light on 2012 Prius 4

Now my switch will not lit when ignition is off.

And it lits when headlight is switched ( tapped black wire to ground and 1 black/white wire to brown wire in the ECU. connect brown to brown and b/w to b/w wire. Problem solve!

Can anyone confirm if the Camry's Projector aftermarket fog lamps will fit? Please kindly check the mount on the link:

They'll fit, but... it doesn't say what type of bulb goes in these lights. I'd bet they are H3 bulbs, which are kind of cr@ppy IMO. Also, those aren't CCFL halos, so they are LED, which in this type, aren't bright enough for daytime visibility. Purely for show at night.

Prius chat member Cheizy has a good quality set on sale in the Private Sales forum than would be much better.

 

I agree. They'll for no problem but it's a crappy projector with a crappy bulb.

Hello to all the Guru`s out there....I have a 2012 Prius 5 which comes with the OEM fog lights which I am considering upgrading these weak lights. I have two questions if someone could kindly advise and sincere thanks in advance!


1) Can I swap out the the lights without removing the bumper cover?



2) If I get a set of lights that only have the red and black wires, does anyone know the plug name or model number I can order a set without cutting and using my OEM Fog light plugs?

Yes, u can access the fogs without removing the bumper.

U will need to get a set of these

H11 to 9006 adaptors & cut off the 9006 end & splice it to ur new fog light
9006 Female Adapters

Or u can get a set of empty H11 male connectors with terminals & crimp them onto ur new fog light
