Any updates yet if some of you managed to add the additional battery pack?
I saw it can be acquired for 5 grands and could remove the rear seats,
to instal the extra pack if it is possible. Any more ideas?

Welcome. I haven't seen any reports of that being even attempted. I think I spend about $75 per year on gas (aside from vacation trips), so at $5,000, that would take around 66 years to pay for itself. Plus the loss of what little storage I have as it is.

    Nice.
But I drive about 60 miles total every day
and would be nice to drive off of the batteries both way.
I can get about 35 miles with a charge, so I need only 25 M extra range. :)
Unfortunately I am not able to charge where I am working at.
I really like my Prius Prime and has to be a way to add that extra range.
I've red it somewhere if you quick charge it from 240 V
you can add an extra 12 miles range.
I haven't tryed that option yet, but is that really possible?

You need a CCS-1 socket. If there is just a round socket, you only have a J1772. The CCS-1 has two extra large pins below the round one.

Crazy idea: Just get a big and safe switch. DPDT. Use one traction battery, then the other.

    Job done. Simple. Thoughts?
