Do mention it again!!! We will add to this "glossary" in fact everyone who has a question should chime in and we will expand the present list to an inclusive list. We can do it.

Ah!.. I just noticed your the one that started this!.... Well I believe that anytime someone finds a need, he should be willing to help fix it, or don't gripe....

So I am willing to do whatever works!
Just let me know.. but since you started this little project hdrygas, I'll wait to hear from you!.....

What will be a good way to keep this updated? and if you are taking on that task, what do you suggest for input from other folks who may want to add to the list? PM you? or is there a much simplier way to set it up?

Everyone post here. Some of this is mine some of this belongs to others. It is a community project . The original is recovered from the crashed previous PriusChat site. I added some of the LAN and ECU stuff after reading "New Car Features". I just moved it over here so it was easily accessible to everyone.

Ok.... I have still to figure out some of the ones in my origianl question.... if anyone can spend an extra 5 minutes... we could start there.

I'm going to make a copy of the sheet and turn it into a txt file I can draw up whenever I want and maybe even share with others, unless you can figure a way to keep it updated as to so when others access it, they will get only the updated version.

If they are only directed to this site.... they may get confused if they chime in on the front page.. unless you keep going back and editing it?
If you choose to do that... maybe you can also add the date at the top so we know which is which....
P.S.... add the "link" to this page to the top also.. that way If some of us copy it into a text file, the link will be included everytime we copy and paste to update our file and others can come to this site directly if they choose.

You need MP (moderator privileges) in order to update the OP (original post). :D

I'd be happy to do it (I was doing this "pre-crash") if those of you who would like to contribute would simply post your acronym and definition in the same format as the original post. Then, it's a simple copy and paste deal.

Yeah, he should have editing privileges considering he's the original poster in this thread. However, I'm not sure whether or not those privileges expire after a certain period of time elapses.

Either way, we should be able to keep the OP updated going forward.

thanks.. I'd help out.. but I'm the one that doesn't know what they mean in the first place!... at least the ones on my list.
but I can add others as they come.

It was quite hard for me to find this site in the first place, will we be able to have a more convienent link for others to find this site in the future?

Do you mean this site (PriusChat.com) was hard to find or this particular thread?

Re the site, I was under the impression that if you use "prius forum", "prius board", or "prius" as search word(s) in a Google or Yahoo search, this site comes up on the first page. Not sure about linking to this thread, though.

Looks like the User-Guide is in need of updates.

this thread.... I can't remember what I searched for... it may have been a search in the prius search box for "glossary".... but I would think a glossary would need to be very handy either as a bold post at the top of the main page or attached to the "my wizard".

It quite hidden where its now at for those who really need it.
Most that know how to use the tools effieciently to find this thread prob don't need it in the first place.

I guess I'll just copy, paste, and pin and see what happens thereafter. It can always be changed.

Yes.....or "Oh my God!", take your pick. As in response to someone asking, "I just got my car and don't know how to turn off the headlights, can anyone help?"

    OMG! Wth? RTFM!!!

Anyway, I'm still working on the following:

TSC - Toyota Service Campaign ????
NTF - Not Their Fault ?????

    Anyone? Buehler?
