Cor luv us, another bloody 'A'. A696 (the 'A' road that runs NW/SE between Newcastle and Northumberland National Park)
As Queen of Moral Indignation, I am making a ruling that a road is a place & if I ever get a "D", I'll use Daphne Road where I live. (I am out of "A" and "Y" names - remember I thought of using Wyoming for the latter!) - so for our next entry: 6 Mile Road (southern Milwaukee County) - I'm ruling that "E" is up next!
TIME OUT... A simple suggestion: The A Clip... If you really, truly have run out of "A" place names, why not agree that in the future when a word ends with an 'a,' the response will begin with the letter that precedes the 'a:' Alaska : Kathlamet. (Love that name -- a little town in Oregon on the Columbia River -- but it didn't fly, and my daughter is named Elizabeth.) If you use this expedient you have to say so in your response: Alaska -- A Clip -- Kathlamet PLAY ON...
Running out of A places? Using road names? There must be an online atlas or something you could consult instead. If you really can't find anything, I'd say leave it for the next poster. Ikamiut (Greenland)
Oh, I'm not out of A's. We've hardly worked Wales over yet! I'm just sick of that bloody letter so I'm lashing out with numbers.
