Ozenkadnook, Victoria A town just on the edge of the new floods in Australia and not far from Gerang Gerung
Kivik (Sweden) Are there any ancient lake beds these floods may eventually reach? I've heard rumours of a dry land 'yacht club'.
Kerang, Victoria One of the latest towns to go under water. In the case of the Queensland floods, most of the water runs straight out into the Pacific Ocean. In the case of the Victorian floods, it is all flowing into the Murray River which will eventually flow out into the Southern Ocean, just south of Adelaide. The dry lakes where some of the 'yacht clubs' operate are either north of Adelaide or north east of Perth. Have not heard of any water flowing into any of these areas, although our biggest dry lake, Lake Eyre, has recently had some water in it, but don't know if there is still water there.
