I kinda twigged to that, just reading the notices on the pumps, at a (Canadian) Shell station: Regular: 10% ethanol Mid-Grade: 5% ethanol Premium: ethanol free (I appreciate in the States all grades have around 10% ethanol.)
Ah, as reported above, Costco customers get 4%(not 3%) back on gasoline purchases. Now Burlington Costco is $2.26 a gallon...... BELOW everyone else. Ka-CCCChhhhhiiiiiggggg! Ka-CCChhhhiiiiggggg! Best price in the state. With that lead, the Burlington Gas War will become the gas war & will probably end soon?......... P.S: Oh, oh. Some gas station 300 miles away in low-ball Spokane, just went to $2.24.
It's funny, when we go to Costco, the gas bar is always stacked up like there's a gas shortage or something. I've never bothered to join the herd; pull into (near deserted) Chevron if we're running low. Costs us and extra 4~5 cents a liter, but when you're filling up once a month...
I filled up last night for $3.39. Just thankful I’m far enough away from San Francisco where it’s still around $4 a gallon. But 65 F and sunny yesterday with more of the same on tap for the foreseeable future .
Now ya know how bad gas prices have been in Wa state since Alaska ain't sendin' too much fuel now. Said Burlington Costco is $2.26 per, while Seattle low is ~ $2.65. Highly advertised gasoline is even higher (duh).
