How accurate is your odometer-is it under reporting miles traveled, meaning you actually had more than a thousand miles on the tank?

Table tags are not easy. Feel free to reply to this note and take out the "QUOTE" tags. @krousdb thanks for the speed info. This helps validate the roll-down coefficient table and graphs: "," is a column separator so substituted ";" did not find photos for 03/24 and 03/27 for MPG I do not understand why the ending miles does not equal 1000.7 in "TRIP A". The error is less bad if the first log record was not recorded. Then if the "0" entries (i.e., April 2) actually had unrecorded distances that showed up in "TRIP A", it would make sense. Any thoughts about the "0" entries? This is a new model and I would not be surprised by finding some 'infantile' problems. Thanks, Bob Wilson
Top speed is 45 MPH. I use cruise control as much as possible. All driving is on secondary roads, mostly straight and flat (easy passing for faster drivers), 25 MPH min, 55 MPH max. The Raleigh to Fayetteville RT ranges between 35 and 37 MPH average depending on stop lights. Trips around town are closer to 20-25 MPH due to stop lights and stop signs. The tank average was 32 MPH. Updated post to add the missing file for 3/24 and 3/27. Note that the 3/10 numbers had the first approx 10 miles on this tank. The rest was from a previous tank. Add 3/12 thru 4/4 plus that ~ 10 miles and you will get 1000.7 miles total.

Close as I can get it. Since it was ~10 miles, I SWAGGED 9.6 miles . . . close enough.<GRINS> Thank you for sharing! Hopefully the table format makes it clear what a remarkable achievement. When I did my 1000 mile tank in a Gen-3, I used cruise control at a speed of 24-25 mph. Your Gen-4 at ~32 mph is blowing away the previous version. Well DONE! Bob Wilson
I will take credit for being a patient driver, but the Two Eco is truly a remarkable car. The Raleigh - Fayetteville round trips are very consistent. I would love to get my hands on other Non-Eco models to compare on the same route. We could put to rest the Eco vs Non-Eco mileage question. I have also considered filling with E10 on the next tank to see how it compares to this E0 benchmark. That would be useful information.
Thanks @krousdb and @pakitt, we have some credible metrics to compare with the roll-down model. With these data points, I've adjusted the model and it looks like we may have a solution: I'm OK with adding well documented data points from postings in PriusChat. Note, I am citing the original poster even though they may be bringing data from other sources. Without a proper reference, I can't make it up. Bob Wilson
Cooler weather, a bit windier and more rain. Filled up with E10 this time so we will see how much difference it makes if any.
800.2 Miles on 10.8Gal tank, AVE 78.6MPG, driving mode Normal, Temp in the morning between 61-66F, after work 70-74F, tire Pressures; Front 42PSI, Rear 40PSI. Prius 4th GEN Silver 4 Touring, bought in March this would be my 3rd fill up.
Surprised to get my 800 mile tank. I hadn't checked the total mileage tripmeter until the fuel gauge got really low, so I wasn't expecting it: 806.4 miles, 10.466 gal., 80.0 mpg on the display, basically the same as others have seen - but still fun. Factoring in 1.28% odo error gives 78.04mpg, so the display mpg reads 2.4% high overall.
This is probably my last 800 mile tank until the temps cool off. 50% A/C use and higher max speed. 55 MPH up from 45.
801.3 miles travelled. MFD MPG 77.1 (both personal records) 11.148 gallons = 71.9 calculated MPG. 100 miles driven with need fuel icon illuminated. 801.3
Another 800 mile tank. I probably could have gone further but I chickened out when the DTE went to 0. 806.6 miles, 10.272 gal., 80.2 mpg on the display. Factoring in 1.28% odo error gives 79.52mpg, so the display mpg reads 0.9% high for this tank. The error was 2.4% high for the last tank, so I suspect a fill variation even though I followed exactly the same procedure at the same gas station for both tanks (different pumps I think). The significance of mpg numbers is hard for people to grasp, so I came up with this explanation: Imagine I had an SUV instead and was getting 25mpg with it (probably a bit optimistic). With gas at $2.50/gallon as it was here today, in effect I'm paying 80 cents a gallon for gas for the Prius. At 50mpg in the Prius I'd be paying $1.25/gallon. I'm also avoiding 2-3 gas stops per 800 miles, at 10 minutes? per fillup.
