Good point! I was briefly thinking of finding out what Macintosh he has and after an Ebay survey, make an offer.

I used my window. From the 120 volt plug, to the window, and into my Battery charger. The manager did come over & ask, "Having car problems?" and I just said, "Yeah unfortunately. The battery's dead," and then she walked off.

If I owned a Tesla and was not within range of a supercharger (basically impossible because they are spaced at 150 mile intervals), then I'd find a hotel & charge off their 120 volt outlet overnight. It's slow but works.

Okay now I'm curious. I'm looking at "Troy Heagy" and I don't see a ban marker. As far as I know the old account points to [email protected] where I no longer work, so it's inaccessible.

Since this is about diesels, check out the diesel price premium at your local gas station. I noted a 32% price premium at one station I gassed at today.

Do note that if we shouldn't compare gasoline vs diesel MPGs directly, due to their differing energy content, then neither should we directly compare their per-gallon prices. Some adjustment is called for.

If priced based on energy content (yes, I know, there are myriad other factors), diesel ought to be priced roughly 15% higher per gallon.

but it takes away the mpg advantage to some extent.

Depends on region. Diesel is the same or a little lower in L.A. for example
MPGe can be used for this.
