Yeah, I think so, When I had my 2010 Prius, the dealer told me synthetic oil was used and I didn't need to change it for a year.
I believe you misread it. Oil changes are at 10K intervals, so the free services covers the oil changes at 10K and 20K. The service with only tire rotation/inspection(/fluid) is at 5K/25K. 15K includes the cabin air filter. http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/omms/T-MMS-12PriusPHV/pdf/2012_Prius_PHV_WMG_lr.pdf Pages 38-40.
You made me go to the car to get the book. 5000 is just minimal. 10,000 is the same as 5000, except they also change the oil and filter. 15,000 is the same as 5000, except they Clean the Cabin Air Filter and they Inspect & tighten a bunch of things. 20,000 is the same as 10,000 25,000 is the same as 5000 again, no oil change, just tire rotation .
Well in my case, we do very little daily driving, being retired. Then about once a month or so we take a round-trip drive up to the bay area, about 500 miles or so... Perfect car for us! radio
I am hoping to get the backup & seat belt beeping taken care of (just one beep) on my visit. If not, I will spring for the ScanGauge.
