Am I looking at 2 different front ends? Top photo seems A pillar is retracted a bit compared to bottom photo

^ Don't think so. Those are different mules and taken from different angles, heights and from different focal lengths. But what I do notice is the cardboard stuffed below the wrap on each side of the first shot to disguise the front fender design - not present in the 2nd photo. They've also used different wraps on each of those cars. Not a bad Idea if you're Toyota and wanting the world to keep guessing. I'd bet it is the same design underneath each.

I've had my Prius for 11 years, so that's $7,700 difference in total cost. I'd call that real money since it's essentially all after-tax disposable income. Couple major vacations for a family of four.

if it weighs less, costs less and takes up less space, yes.

actually, john voelcker just wrote an article claiming he heard 30-35 from an inside industry source that he trusts. but voelcker's been wrong more than right over the years.

The more I look at the pics more it reminds me Prius C. Hood looks very similar with top slice. Hard to tell the actual proportions, but it may be front belt line lowered, not as much the rear jacked up.

You would think that visibility in C should be better than Gen3, but no. They managed to butcher it too. Small side mirrors, low roof line, gigantic rear headrests and too forward B-pillars more than a match for better windshield.

As do I. I like the front of the liftback as well. Never cared much for the rear on either, though.

Please let it be a 35-mile EV range...that'd be a stat that fulfills "blown away" status.

Or "blown away" status would be 20 ev/60 hv mpg, hv mpg more important here!

having thought about it, 30 ev would probably be great in winter for heat and defrost, maybe still get 20? but not at a cost.

    Well, I would like either:
    25ev/55hv
    20ev/60hv*

In the winter, i would probably start with ICE "warm-up & heat", then swicth to EV.

That entirely depends on the buyer's desires. :) I should probably be looking into a Volt because I need some EV range. :p

nothing wrong with that, if it works for you, there are some great deals out there. coming from a c, it would probably feel huge!

Yea, the other side of the coin is I'm half-tempted to put in a reservation for a Model 3 when the opportunity arises (March 2016?) and just ride out the C for a while yet (not even to 40k miles)...3 exciting choices.
