102,000 2012 Prius Plug In Advanced (same thing tbh) 1) Did you replace the HV battery pack? No 2) Did you replace the hybrid transaxle fluid? Yes 3) Did you replace the brake pads? Yes (didn’t have to though) 4) Your lifetime MPG (if available)? 65 before I modified everything lol. Now it’s about 35-40 5) How often do you change your oil? What brand / product did you use? 3-4 mo. 0w20 Mobil 1 AFE synthetic + synthetic oil filter 6) How about post a picture of 100,000 miles on ODO? 102.9k mi (no pic at the moment) 7. Others installed oil catch can via hybridpit. It’s crazy how much oil accumulates and is a MUST. Also got EGR cleaned etc @ hybridpit.
Is Hybridpit a shop? How much did it cost to get the OCC installed and EGR cleaned? And has that not been an issue with your smog checks?
Crossed the 100k milestone a few days ago. A special thanks to PC and all of its members for helping me along the way. Here's to the next 100k!
Todays mileage while testing her after replacing one bad cell module and the waterpump. Also during this pandemic I replaced the clockspring and both rear wheel hubs. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Hah battery reset didnt change it at that moment during the afternoon. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Even if you dont have any hybrid battery issues, the waterpump throwing the P261B code will show "check hybrid system" may also completely shut the car down while driving. No warning of temperature increasing at all. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Had that happen before. I was driving 80mph on the far left lane when it happened. I lost the gas pedal but thankfully the brakes still worked. Scared the crap out of me. Read the code on the side of the highway since I had my ScanGauge plugged in and read the same code above. So for the next 40 minutes I watched the water temperature very very closely and used the car home. Engine coolant temp hovered 197 to 205 degrees. I ended up replacing the water pump. Only $170 and 30 minutes of my time to replace. Dead easy to do. 162k now and counting!
