    This explains a lot.

Hybrid Assistant uses a lot of data from different systems for its work to visually display operational information and generate application reports.
Techstream can record a lot of data from one system online.
Hybrid Assistant reads data from both the engine and the hybrid installation, as well as the high-voltage battery.

Therefore, it is demanding of a high-quality OBDII adapter.
Fake adapters do not work, low-speed adapters do not work.

I had several blue ELM327, which somehow worked on cars with a gasoline engine, but did not work at all with Hybrid Assistant.
I had to buy a higher quality adapter.
Also did not work on an old tablet with Android version 4, the program hung and could not provide fast data exchange.
Hybrid Assistant is a test for a good and bad adapter.
    Hybrid Assistant: OBD

The OBDII adapter failed the suitability test and Paul switched to another application that can use old PIDs with formulas that are not relevant for the new car.

Conceivably it could even be using the right PIDs and sensible formulas, but if the communication delay is long enough it could have, say, received an early motor power reading from right after stomping the pedal while the engine output was low, and added that to a later engine power reading after the engine had taken up more of the load.

The adapter marking is included in the list of effective adapters.
    Were all settings made correctly?

One setting that no other app has is "port number."

It is more reliable to connect via Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi. Less interference.

I looked at the forum about CAR scanner from 2018.
The developer specializes mainly in other cars.
Hybrids are not popular with him, PIDs for hybrids are collected from around the world.

At the same time, there are many questions and unresolved problems on different hybrid cars.
I believe that the new car uses completely different PIDs that were uploaded in 2018-2020 to this program.
If you want to participate in testing and finalizing the program, then this is your decision.
It is unknown whether there will be a result.

Same here...I discovered 550 HP with 450HP at the wheel still makes me smile when I launch myself...I do know that I personally am too old for a Model S Plaid launch....Did that once..never again scared the crap out of me. but that is just me.
I do enjoy the HP in my Gen 2...it's just in a different way.

Ohhh, that was totally awesome. The part that scared me was the braking at the end of the too-short-for-this road.

It doesn't really matter what the actual horsepower number; it's just a d**k ruler anyhow.
What counts is that I can get myself out of a bad spot in traffic with ease.

What counts for me, with the additional power, is being able to climb steep mountain passes. My previous Prius, loaded with four passengers and camping equipment, could barely get out of its own way, and was sometimes dangerous because of it.

I never complained about my Gen 3 not having enough power, but my Gen 5 seems to have about double that.
