I have a stack of brand new Premiers in my garage that will go on when I make my next scheduled maintenance visit. (y)

Welp, just pulled the trigger, on Michelin Primacy MXM4 215/45R17. The stock rims are off the car, snow tires on, which is my usual M.O. now, when doing purchases. They'll likely be in and mounted within a couple of weeks, but it'll be next spring before they go on.

I recently ordered 215/45/17 Premier AS, H-Rated. Ordered from Costco, and it was $582 all-in including installation. I'm still waiting for them to be shipped to be installed, but now wondering if I should've ordered
V-Rated? Will I even notice a difference compared to OEM Toyo? Thanks in advance

Returned them and with their recommendation, I went with the Primacy MXM4 V-Rated.

I swapped out the snow tires for the Michelin Primacy MXM4 yesterday, went for a long drive today. Nice smooth ride, definitely less harsh than the Pilots they replaced, feel planted, rolling resistance seems good. No news is good news I guess. Will post after a tank or two how they do, but so far like them. Set them at 36 psi all around, for now.

About a month and a half later, I would say rolling resistance on these new Michelin Primacy MXM4 seems to be higher, compared to either the previous well-worn Michelin Pilots, or even the 15" Michelin X-Ice. Hopefully due in part to "new tire syndrome". In the last week or two, we've been doing a lot of cross-town driving. Seeing displayed mpg stubbornly stuck, around 4.6~4.7 liters per 100 km, converts to 50.5 mpg. Again this is displayed, which likely means calculated around 5.1 liters per 100 km, converts to 46 mpg.

Last tank was kinda abysmal, this one a bit better, so my hope is things will improve. Last tank is the rightmost bar:

Wow Mendel, your last tank is 40.2mpg! That's a huge drop from your lifetime average! Hopefully just the new tire break in period. I will need new tires soon, currently down to 4/32" so this is something I need to pay attention to.

Silver lining, maybe: between that last tank, and so far this tank, seems to be "partially" climbing out of the hole. Hopefully not all due to trying harder. Maybe another month or two, they'll scrub off a bit more, things will improve. I won't lose any sleep over it, but it's frustrating.

Just for giggles I raised pressures from 35 to 40. Keeping mind these are low profile 17's, kinda high for my taste, but want to see what that does. Door decal says 33/32 front/rear, fwiw.

MPG's will improve with warmer weather? Non Winter gas usage? Hang in there Mendel!

Getting my mpg mojo back. A few more kms on the new Michelin Primacy MXM4, and I think they're starting live up to their Green-X claims. Tread depth has scrubbed off a bit, almost 9/32" depth remaining now. That's after about 3500 km now (about 2000 miles?). That's a rather fast wear, but maybe it'll settle down?

Anyway, last tank was more-or-less back to normal, and this one seems even better. Driving around town mostly, with the trip meter reset since last fill up, the display dancing around, between 4.0 and 4.5 (liters per 100 km), depending on conditions. I'd expect it's going to settle around 4.2 displayed, which will likely mean calculated around 4.5, which would translate to 52 mpg. Anything over 50 I'll be happy.

Last few tanks, in mpg. Red "X" indicates roughly when the Primacies went on, and this was in place of 15" Michelin X-Ice:
