    Congrats, @bisco!!!

I got back from the road trip the night before last. 5,645 miles in total. The Bolt just hummed right along with no complaints.

nothing but frustration with this chevy dealer. typical problem for legacy makers i think, they no nothing abour IRS form F15400, and refuse to fill it out.
and even if they did,i doubt they would file it with the IRS

They are quietly developing a great reputation for economy and reliability.

finally badgered the salesweasel into investigating form 15400 with the appropriate dealership.

he claims that this is a new requirement for dealers and was handled by manufacturers prior to now.

anyway, they will hopefully complete it, and file with the irs, not the circular file.

    IMG_3262.jpeg We got it!
The ride home was great, loved the one pedal driving.
Much quieter, smoother and quicker than the Prius.
Time to settle in with a beverage and the owners manual , I’m so Excited!

Nice color! It's about time you finally pull the trigger. Local dealer? or did you have to drive ⅓ the way across the nation. Decent price for the trade-in? What does ms B's impressions think .... Inquiring minds need to know!

Fortunately, the strike hasn’t affected bolt production.
And mine was supposed to be delivered 11/04, but amazingly, it showed up last Friday.
The guy in Florida was 4k above msrp, so I’m very glad I didn’t have to go that route.
They gave me 7k for the Prius. Some of the car buying places were offering 8k on the net, but I don’t know what they would have given me when they heard the engine misfiring, so I decided to skip the hassle

    Woo hoo!!! Congrats!!

Perusing the owners manual like a true enthusiast.

The day after I got back from our 5,600 mile trip, a friend of mine who followed me into Bolt land headed out on his first road trip (FL to OH).

Hopefully, Chevy doesn't mess with success when they bring it back.

Both the Volt & the Bolt are loved by owners & yet GM wanted to kill both of them off. Looks like with the latter - they came to their senses

The Volt was collateral damage to loss of large sedan sales. Which is what all the other models made at its factory were. If it had happened to be made at a plant with a SUV, it might have survived.

Seems the Bolt was always planned to go hiatus, and then come back. GM wanted the plant for an EV pick up. Better to not give Ford too much time alone in the market. But delays with Ultium and outcries about the Bolt, got them to change the timing.

Congrats @bisco. Wow, another Bolt owner on PC. I was thinking of Bolt for myself if I had to start commuting again. But so far that has not happened.

If I do need a commuter drive I will look for an unsold 23 Bolt before the new (most likely more expensive) new Bolt hits the market in 25MY.

people are getting good deals on used bolts with replacement batteries. especially those who don't qualify for the tax credit, you still get the 4k on used.

I liked how they accelerate and how quiet it was. But I'm a suspension snob. The compression is too soft and rebound too slow. Any upgrades known to fix this yet?

this is my only complaint with my Bolt EUV. The ride isn't all that smooth or comfortable, however the seats themselves are fine. But it's not too much of a bother for me, it's more like, if I had to find something to nitpick, it would be this.

coming from a 2012 pip, the acceleration is like a bullet. we find it extremely quiet, but i can't say much about suspension, i've never really thought about it on any car.
i can say that you hardly feel small potholes or low manhole covers.
we find the seats firm, with good lumber support and very comfortable.

overall, i'd place it on a par with our $35,000. 2024 hycam xle, without the engine noise.

this car is fantastic, i love the heated steering wheel! :)

the range was 250 when i picked it up, i've driven 70 miles, and still have 200 left. and i used the heat today.
guess-o-meter i realize, but this is my driving style and i think it is going to go well.
