It’s changing for 2019. The Prius will get the standard American trim level nomenclature.

    Two Eco becomes L Eco
    Two becomes LE
    Three becomes XLE
    Four Touring becomes Limited.

Remember the '60s when you ordered your car - and there was a list of options and accessories? 5 types of paint, 6 engines, roof or no roof? 2 exhaust systems, you want a heater with that? A/C - only available on the V8. Radio - with an extra rear speaker?

I believe that’s called a Mini Cooper lol.

That’s pretty much the only modern car that has that much customisation. Every other car has packages to cut down on production costs. Also, it makes it easier in the used car market to see what you’re paying for.

Not only that but it makes it easier to lump cheap, but highly desired, upgrades in with packages that include high margin features you may not be interested in.

    Agreed.

When a user on a different forum asked how to disable the daytime running lights on their 2000 Tundra, the answer said to remove the anti-lock brakes since they were in the same package and unavailable separately. o_O:ROFLMAO:

Truly the most vile of abhorrent accessory groupings was the Camry Hybrid. If a female needed to look at her face /makeup - in what typically comes with many - if not most cars nowadays, is a lighted vanity mirror, built into most all sun visors. But if you needed a lighted vanity mirror on the Hybrid Camry, you had to spend an extra $1,000 or more as they only put those in with the expensive sunroof. Talk about chasing away customer loyalty.

Or - refuse any car with a sunroof. Been there, done that.

    - they put it as compulsory on upper-crust models in some case, along with rough-riding wide rims. "Sorry - not interested in your car if it has them - I'll go elsewhere". Which doesn't impress the salesman who lost a sale because of something which is out of his hands. But hopefully he tells the boss who tells FORD/PEUGEOT or whichever company it is.

Some dealers replace the factory wheels with others. A coworker just bought a new Toyota that had aftermarket wheels installed on it by the dealer.

I’m seeing multiple reviews of the AWD-e model. Guess we should make a separate review thread?

There is a button called “clear rain droplet” on the upper left corner on the screen. When you press that button, the air nozzle on the lense will blast a stream of air to blow the rain droplet away.
