2018 Prius, 30K service, drain&fill transmission fluid?

    Again, just judging from colour of the drained fluid (ah woops...), I'd recommend an intial transaxle fluid drain-and-fill at 12 months or 10K miles. And no, this does not mean you have to accelerate all the other fluid changes. Why the heck should it?? Ugh...

    $40 worth of supplies and an hour or two out of your life, vs pages of debate??

    Do you always have to ASSume that any conversation indicating a possible disagreement is a "pissing match" ?

    For the second part........there is a kind of implied assumption that Toyota doesn't know what's really best for their cars.......and some "shade tree mechanic" owners really DO. If you subscribe to that theory, why would you NOT apply it to the other fluids too ???
