They were all so fun and quirky in their own ways. This new one is no exception. I still wanna own all four at the same time one day.

Austin you're obsessed! Why did you trade the 2010 Blizzard Pearl for a 2015 Sea Glass Pearl?... I did similar when I sold my 2010 BP (88,000mi) for a new 2014 BP. Regretted it later because I chose a lower trim. My new 4 touring w PCP is top level I love it. Lesson learned: trade up not down.

Not suggesting it''s the case, but sometimes economy dictates cutting back on expenditure.

I wasn't sure if I'd like the Gen.IV or not, since in the early test mules, they had generic looking dashboards with analog gauges, so I thought they may go to that. So I bought one of the 2015 in April of 2015 because they had some great deals going on.

Would you also call me obsessed if I told you I built a 2007 Gen.2 from the ground up using nothing but spare parts from other wrecked Prius cars. Took me one a month and a half to do, and while I was at it, I was also helping build a Prius limo. (I was sitting in the very back in the one photo.) It was taken at the Scottsburg State Fair. But it was cool sleeping in a warehouse full of Prii. ☺️☺️

7 passengers, and 45 mpg! That's the average we always seemed to get with it when I was around it. The middle row we made basically like the front seats, with the console and cup holders in the middle.

I purchased a used 2016 Three Touring at the end of December. Aside from the dashboard rattle, related to the HVAC under the steering column, I have not had any issues. I brought it to the dealer, and they performed the TSB, and now it is rattle free. I absolutely love the GEN4, and I have no complaints, what-so-ever. The only thing I miss is the rearview mirror with the garage door openers and the auto-dimming.

The Active Cruise rocks! For someone that does a lot of driving, it's like the old Ron Pappel commercial selling the rotisserie chicken cookers... "Set it and Forget it!" It has actually made me less aggressive on the road...

Jeez, my 2016 Prius hasn't had any issues so far, but I still haven't cracked 10K miles, mainly because I'm not fond of driving around here. Maybe I need to take a road trip to Colorado.

Nope. In the Gen 4 Prius at least (as opposed to a Prius C or Prius V, about which I know nothing), the shock is completely mounted outside the cabin. The job is done from the wheel well - you take out the shock assembly to tighten the nut. See Rattling noise from rear suspension | Page 4 | PriusChat for my writeup on fixing it as a DIY job.

The TSB does not involve replacing the shock itself, though if yours is bad that would certainly be a fine time to do it. Either not enough torque during assembly or bad/insufficient thread lock seems to be the cause. Doesn't really seem like a bad design, I love my 2016 Four.
