2016 Prius Spare Tire Fix w/Photos

Throw in the temp spare rim and tire, purchased similarly, you're close to a grand?

Is this 100% identical to what you'd get on a base Prius, or a close cobble? And the hatch deck fit and whatever is seamless?

 

Yes you need the temp spare and tie down from another Prius or Corolla, I had my 2014 Prius's spare and tie down, all the parts fit perfect and stored correctly in the foam, leaving the floor flat and supported. The parts are exactly what a Prius gets with a temp spare, the parts are a little different if you want a full size spare, the foam is a little higher.

 

I went to the hardware store. I bought a bolt that matched the threads of the tire hold-down.

That bolt, plus a series of larger and larger washers, is what holds my spare in. The tools are velcro-strapped to the secured wheel/tire tightly.

 

Ok, I have a 2016 2 eco and a 2010 two. Just got a 2023 bolt euv so I will be giving the 2010 to my nephew.

I took the spare from the 2010 and managed to fit it into the 2016.

I had to break these white fastenerers. Oh well.

I can just put the floorboard in but the floor isn't level. This doesn't bug me too much but i guess I ought to fix it.

I see the 3 foam parts that you can buy, but that's like $400, seems a but excessive. Any other idea on how to level out the floor? I hate to hacksaw the existing foam.

But sales won't drop. Lots of cars don't come w spares. Including my new bolt.
