Thank you for answering! Where are the 2 aditional speakers located ? Gen. 3 has 2 in the dash,2 in the front doors and 4 in the back doors . Would be nice if the aditional speakers would be located in the middle of the dash or roof and in the middle of the back to create a surround sound .
Look at it this way, some people like the new design and some don't. If it would look different you maybe would like it and others may would not . It's hard to please everybody . I guess that Toyota did their best in trying to give it a kind of a sedan look to please people who want a more mainstream car,but at the same time keep the futuristic outstanding Prius look that differentiates it from other cars . I think they did a pretty good job !
Turn on cruise. Hit the cruise lever down, that will set the current speed to cruise and engage the cruise. Now up or down can adjust the speed. To quickly adjust the speed way up, cancel cruise by pulling the lever towards you, then accelerate "manually", then set the cruise at that speed by a quick lever down. Ditto for dropping the cruise speed a lot. Be careful though. The cruise will use braking to slow the car if you set the speed way down by repeatedly hitting the lever down. If someone is following closely they could hit you. That is a government law. "Fog lamps" or "driving lamps" can not be on unless headlamps are on. Stupid, yes. Law, also yes.
I took a drive through the Toyota Dealership here in Warrenton, Oregon, Lum's Toyota. They have a 2016 Prius II base model on the lot. No matter how I look at it the design is not easy on the eyes. I know Toyota could have made the looks of the 2016 more appealing. I guess when you drive it you can't see the outside anyways. We have a 2010 Prius that is a better looking design than the 2009 model it replaced and obtains better mpg as well. For those new 2016 Prius owners does the looks after a while grow on you???
Where? It isn't in FMVSS 108. The only regulation of fog lamps refers to their prohibition of use as DRL. And other countries, such as Australia, require that fog lamps be independently operable of the head lamps. Now, for commercial vehicles, there is a requirement for fog lamps to be wired in conjunction with head lamps.
Blame the stupid people that were driving around at night with just the driving lights on. In Australia and Europe, the fog lamps are real fog lamps, with also rear ones, and not just there for looks.
for people who owned gen 3 and bought gen 4. is the handling that much better as the reviews suggest?
Hello, fellow Prius owners. Picked up a grey 4 w/ATP and PCP yesterday. So far, so good. Tomorrow, I put on Hakkapeliitta R2's to deal with the rest of the Colorado winter. Thank you to all the long-time Priuschat members. Reading the boards really helped me decide on a Prius. I'm impressed by your dedication and knowledge.
Awesome to hear and thanks for the clarification! Enjoy your new car and congrats on your purchase! Your Blizzard Pearl with the tinted windows looks fantastic! Your next task is to find a fog light kit!
I think the top one the silver sets off the gray. But I am getting nervous I don't want to get a ding. Keep my 10-yrs old already dinged up.
Got some questions and few observations: -Are the heated mirrors automatic? My mirrors were all misty and wet this morning and were like that for like 35 minutes -I tried cruise control for 20 minutes but looks like I will never use it again. I notice it gave me worse MPG than if I drove myself. Also it went out of cruise control randomly a few times. I don't know why. Since it was the first time using it, I kept my foot above the brake pedal at all times during cruise control and luckily I did otherwise I either had to break super hard myself or the car would've break super hard to avoid the car in front of me which could've caused the car behind me to rear end me. -Best settings for audio like treble, etc.? -What music files can the 2016 4T play? I know for sure it's definitely not flac or wav files which sucks -I'm not at my car right now but with the default settings, the sound seems like it's in the center instead of the entire car. Is there a way to change this? -Is there a chart or whatever that shows us X MPG on a full tank can go X miles? I am curious how many miles I can go with one full tank
No problem as it isn't for everyone. At one time, I car-pooled with someone from Washington DC to Huntsville and it was very uncomfortable: He drove at 10-15 mph over the speed limit. Manual speed control. Only one stop in the 12 hour drive. He just wanted someone to pay half his gas and his pony car sucked it down. Bob Wilson
