Very Nice! That's the exactly model and package I wanted but couldn't wait till September. So I ended up picking up a grey Model Three Touring this past Thursday, $25,838 before TTL. The car drives so much better then the Prius v that i traded in. One thing I don't like is I am only getting 52 mpg on my daily 140 miles commute to work.
As Arnold says, "pump it up". eco all the way AC fan on low temp at 74 42 PSI below 65MPH ( I use 55 for local commutes) try not to pass anyone do not weave in and out of traffic experience at least one road rage drive like me ( an egg under your foot) What did you get on your old Prius for MPG and at what PSI? Are you hauling three 300# coworkers/ High speed and rain are killers for MPG. Parking brake also
I got the $2000 rebate last week. The dealer said it was working Cheap gas is difficult for Prius sales.
Good tips. Is it ok to pump the tire to 42psi? Thought I saw max psi on the sidewall is 40 or 41. 90% of the miles I drove are on the freeway at speed of 70-72 mph. If I go any slower I felt like I would get run over. I get about 40mpg on my old prius v so this is already a big step up. Normal driving mode, AC on eco @ 75, tire pressure ? (haven't checked since picked up the car last Thursday), 5% @ 25mph, 5% @ 50mph, 90% @ 70-72mph, passed couple cars on the freeway that's drives even slower than any prius drivers. Got 52.5 mpg on the way to work this morning. If I can get about 55mpg after break in than I am a happy camper.
Doubt you have 40/41 PSI tires but who would ever know. I can't do 51 PSI and 44 is a little too much, Just try it out on smooth roads. Your tire is max rated at 51PSI cold for a Touring unless you have different tires than me????? And the dealer probably has the mid 30s in them. But the issue is more than MPG. Low air pressure will suck the life out of your tires. Try 42 twice and call me in the morning. Dr Strange Love
double-check the sidewall, don't go above max, especially high speed in the heat driving. mine are 42/40.
It would be interesting if they have two different versions of Touring tires. I may have wrongly assumed they were all like mine.
13 mpg lifetime will do that to a man!! No more $20 top offs every 2 days during the commute week... More like $20 every 2 weeks or more. Here she is all shiny
Just went outside to check the tires again. You are correct, 51psi max. Need to get my eyes checked. Edit: Stock: 33psi all around. Recalibrated: 42psi front, 40psi back.
Is that factory tint? Looks a tad darker than mine from factory, looks good! Still love that body molding. Congrats on your new Prius.
Yes. Factory tint. It must be the angle that makes it look darker. But yes there is a little shade to the factory glass. I wonder what % it actually is..
I'm looking at the 2016 eco Saturday, internet price 22.800, not counting tax and fees. I don't know how much rebate this is, trading in 2011. I don't know how much they will give on trade in, got 162K miles on it. I may also walk, if I don't like the deal.
I have no idea, figured it must be after rebate. I'll probably walk after the offer. Its actually my wife that is getting new Prius Eco. I think there will be a $3,000 off before October. My wife is wanting to look and test drive the Sea Glass color. We just got back from vacation, haven't seen one on road yet.
