Look like alloy wheels to me if you zoom in.

Keep in mind that these are likely Euro-spec Prius, since the photos are sourced from either Taiwan or Malaysia. The North American version of the car may be equipped slightly different.

You'll find another high-res copy on Worldcarfans, Danny.

I think the cars are USA spec due to the orange side light. Pics definitely not from Italy but likely from East or USA.

I think @Mendel Leisk means that they're alloys without the plastic covers on them yet, like Toyota has done on the lower spec'd model in the past.

Ah, I didn't notice that. I assumed non-US because of the pre-installed front license bracket, which I haven't traditionally seen on Toyota's US show cars. But these cars could be destined for other purposes, of course.

The turn-signal side mirror is not something we typically get here in the US, either.

I don't think they are turn signals but side light. However you never know...
The reason i've noticed it, is because Euro spec Prius doesn't have nothing orange in the headlamps shell (nor turn-signal in there), in opposition to the US-spec, as per this pics:

    EU spec:

But this is not truly important, you will personally see soon :)

I'm pretty sure this is off the movie set for the next Fast and the furious movie which will have a twist of using pri'i. It will be called "Fast" and the furious. :)

This must be the scene where they drop it out of a plan a parachute into the road.

Yes. Toyota places plastic wheel covers over the alloy wheels. The Gen 2 had plastic outer trim rings. Gen 3's had full
plastic wheel covers, I think (please don't quote me on this).

Cargo space will be better than ever on Gen 4. Prius because the battery will be placed underneath the back seats instead of the trunk !

An obvious improvement. I truly hope the black paint on that small section isn't for real. I'd have to get an estimate for repainting, and reduce the price paid accordingly. Pretty slick looking pictures. I just hope that media reviews pound home the fact the the front ends on Toyotas are still amongst the worst in the industry. They remind me of the first few years with the 5 mph bumpers being mandated. The first models looked like painted railroad ties bolted to the front ends. Toyota's new look, which tends to get better as the size and width of the cars get larger, still looks like a Darth Vader bug-eater.

    MUST SEE IN PERSON.

Warming up to the front end.
Real questions as to whether I will like the "ice cycle" or tear drop tail lights.

Is it my imagination or does the entire edge of the rear spoiler now light up as a part of the brake light?
    I think I'd like that.

When I first looked at the pic with the lit brake lights, I thought it looked sharp. But as I look closer, it definitely has to be shopped. We can clear see a line drawn across the spoiler and made to glow. I agree there is clearly a lamp only in the middle. It is also clear that this is an identical shot of the other image from the back, nobody sitting in the driver seat and the reflection in the door is identical (and I doubt this was on a tripod ;-).

I still think the car looks sharp, looking forward to the specs. Hoping to get another year or two out of my '06 before upgrading to a PIP. :)

As far as I can tell, that's a Boeing 747. Probably Atlas Air.

Great looking new Prius! It should sell very well. Toyota has keep the overall shape but changed it up to give it a new attitude. I can't wait to see the inside! :)
