One would think with a bumper like that the MPG would go down, as it does not look as aerodynamic as on the 12-14 models. I will have to see it in person before I can vote on it.
I didn't really like the front bumper, it just seemed to stick out a little too far forward at the bottom for me. I'll go back & sit and look at it for a while. Also, I like my modified headlights the most... but stock vs stock I like the new headlights better.
I agree with ya... but I just don't like the reflectors in the 12-14 stock ones. If they were dual projectors like some of us have modified ours to, IMO that's the best. I'd prefer double barrel projectors, then the single barrel... then the original stock with one projector and one reflector. I don't know why, but the reflector just doesn't look as good to me... just my opinion. cheers
You see now that Prius C got restyle in 2015 ?! Wait till 2018, you will see all new bodystyle on this model!
rumors continue that the 2015 will be built by mazda in the new Mexican based on the mazda 2 which will mean bodywork changes. we hear Toyota is working on using better battery to increase range but not a strong rumor. the major change is the improved chassis of the 2. we keep prodding for a bigger hp engine but no rebuttal or agreement. that is the change that will upgrade my prissy. we know kia, hyundai, and honda are pursuing that. first one wins my purchase.
The only rumors we've heard on this are from you, and you consistently refuse to provide sources that others can actually look at.
There're 2 sources for these rumors: - C is not good seller and will be substituted by hybrid option on Yaris (like in Europe) - Yaris replacement will be built by Mazda when this happens? 2017 model earliest
Doesn't sound like it: "The Aqua is considered the most successful nameplate launch in Japan in the last 20 years. As of September 2014, the Aqua/Prius c is the second most sold hybrid of Toyota Motor Corporation after the regular Prius, with 853,800 units sold worldwide, and Japan is the market leader with 711,649 units sold. For two consecutive years, 2013 and 2014, the Aqua was the top selling new car in Japan." Toyota Prius c - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Japan. In EU C isn't sold (They get hybrid Yaris). In US C sales account only ~40,000 and that eats in Toyota profits. I'll speculate Mazda2 based Yaris may be only for North America market. Japan and other asian-pacific LHD markets will continue with current Yaris/ Aqua line up
it's 2015 already and the 2015 C has been out a few months now...so why are there still "rumors" of a 2015 c that will be based off of mazda2? unless a 2015.5 version (which highly doubt it)
Yes it shouldn't be here. It should he in thread named "Next Gen Prius C". Since Mazda2 isn't out yet in NA market and no any info on oncoming Yaris replacement very likely switch is still 1.5-2.5 years away.
The Prius c is also sold in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Phillippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand etc.
Half of these markets are LHD, so they get Japanese version. Looks like Toyota-Mazda agreement covers only Mexico plant, so Asian markets will continue with current structure. what they do there have very little impact on US
I have looked at a 2015 C in person, and I am still not sure on the new front end?! The only item that I do like more are the tail lights. The dealer I was at only had one that was white. They still had 4 2014 leftovers.......not a good sign.
there were over the dozen 2014 when we got ours. On 2015 I don't like the front too, but the radio upgrade is nice!
there is some confusion on what is LHD and RHD. It is rather defined by what side of the side of the road you drive, not side which the steering wheel is on. I suppose more correct reference would be LHT and RHT. Right- and left-hand traffic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yes, because Right-Hand Drive means the steering wheel is on the right. Driving on the right means the steering wheel is on the left and the vehicles travel on the right side of the road.
@cyclopathic Let's swap head lights and bumpers then. And lhd and rhd refers to steering wheel position. It is widely used and correct. Good luck changing how the entire world references it.
