The portable ones down south are mostly gasoline with a few that can also run propane.

Don't know about elsewhere, but in the US, people are still expected to come into work if their home is without power. So many will likely opt for the generator over using the car that can't sit there around the clock.
For the others willing to use the car, like GPS, they probably quickly learned that putting an inverter in aftermarket is much cheaper than the factory option.

It's still offered in the 2016 Prius v for some reason.

TMS' research showed it wasn't a popular feature so they replaced it with the HUD, which hopefully, is more useful (no HUD in Canada).

Canadian models don't have LKA or plasmacluster but the US models do/did.

Yeah I don't understand the side mirror one. Maybe it's to reduce repair cost? I doubt the US has more broken mirror claims than any country in Europe per capita.

Doesn't appear to be so in the US.

Meat for the dealers in dealer equipped options?

Do remember, the "options" available in each country are set by the local Toyota importer. Local people work there and make the decisions, which -may- be modified by the owner of the importer company, usually Toyota JP but not always.
The local decisions are based on what the local workers think will sell in their country. Yes, some of us won't agree with those decisions, heck, I haven't seen a single topic we all agree on!!! ;)

Thanks for checking. I did exactly what I hate people doing - saying things without checking. Sorry!

For completeness for anyone reading this in the future, 2012-2014 were the years that IPA/APGS were offered. It was removed with the midlife update for the 2015MY.
