2014 C suspension upgrades

Just finished installing my Tanabe NF-210 lowering springs. The car is now .8 lower in front, 1.2 in back, which perfectly matches Tanabe's claims. The car is not too low (have yet to touch bottom), it is just right and looks sexy. The car also handles great, kind of gokart-y, and there are no funny sounds. It actually seems to ride better in most situations, except on big hits, where it is marginally stiffer. Still very good over washboard ripple bumps like we have here in the mountains, and the wheels follow the bumps well. It was a super-easy installation, and I had zero problems, except for having picked up the wrong type spring compressor, which I soon resolved. Prior to the springs, I had already installed a Whiteline rear bar and the Kosei R5 15" x 7' wheels shown here. I am very, very pleased with the results, and I am happy I did it. You will need to check alignment and have front toe-out a bit. Lowering or adding negative camber on McPherson set up results in unintentional toe-in.

Unfortunately I need the clearance, it has been issue with OEM height on a couple occasions so far.

 

Yup, just took it to the shop for an alignment. All set there. As far as clearance, I'll just have to be careful. No problems yet on dirt or paved roads here in Vermont in summer, but I expect some problems when the snow starts falling. We'll see!

 

Just to confirm, the 2015 Prius C was only cosmetic changes and should use the same rear sway bar?

Also, does anyone have an updated link for the whiteline version? The link posted here previously seems to be broken.

If not, I guess I'll go with the TRD Yaris one.

100% is what's called a mid cycle refresh. 90+% of those are identical running gear. But yes, same suspension and mechanical bits.

TRD is fine it doesn't feel like it needs more in the back, maybe softer front.

It definitely needs a camber kit after that.
