Just put a charger on it for at least 8 hours, at 4 amps....

That's they battery everyone is complaining about, at least on here.
They're made a lot cheaper then the yused to be. And it cost more.

Which battery is everyone complaining about?
The link I shared with the Optiima battery or the oem truestart battery (interstate)?

Oh, didn’t realize there were issues with the Optima battery either. Thought it would be superior compared to the oem battery. Thanks for the heads up.

The original oem 12 volt battery that came with my car was better than the Truestart battery I have now.

it lasted 7 years before I replaced it and never drained out on me.

Wonder when that changed? My Truestart battery I bought about a year ago is a Yuasa one. Maybe I lucked out?

I believe @ASRDogman was referring to the 12 Volt AGM Optima Battery.

4th of July Special! Got new shoes for the Persona today. Michelin Defender 2!

These tires should last longer than my Bridgestone Ecopia (only got about 36k miles)!

    IMG_6714.jpeg IMG_6716.jpeg

I tried to order the Michelin X-Tour A/S 2 but it wasn’t available during the 4th of July Michelin one day sale. (Of course it was available the next day, after the sale was over).

Spent a bit more on the Michelin Defender 2. Heard a lot of good things about the tires. Looking forward to putting these tires to good use!

That’s 215/45R17? I’m getting out of touch with 17” tire options, but seem to recall defenders were not available (in that size) in past.

Right. The Level 5 wheels and tires.
I sold mine off and bought the standard 15" Prius wheels so get noticeably better fuel economy.
    Love the head lights!

@Mendel Leisk , yes, the tires are 215/45/17.

Rated at 80k miles. Hoping these lasts longer than my Bridgestones.

Persona is regular headlights? Our Canadian Touring has the LED's, and the (useless but pretty) fogs.

Agree about the tire size, we get slightly better mpg through winter, with 15" Michelin X-Ice, compared to the 17" Primacy MXM4 the rest of year.

@Mendel Leisk , Persona have the regular headlights .

I added a clear 3M film to protect the lense from sun damage. So far, the lenses have stayed clear since the day I purchased the car.

I also added a darker film to the side amber lights to drown out some of the color.

I hated the amber corners too and was so glad I got a good deal on offerup a while ago for a pair of JDM headlights.

Here is an old pic when I installed them 20220108_144932.jpeg

    LED's with Headlight washers !!
For those times when you're in a Rally on gravel/dirt roads and the guy you're trying to pass is throwing muck on your headlights!!

Consumer Report rated them at the top of the list in their testing!!
The low beam pattern is perfect and the high beams add a lot.

Anything else on a Gen 3 is the 'cheapest kind', no matter how much 'Makeup' you put on them.

I agree about the Fog Lights. It's hard to see their pattern on the ground in front of the car. I wish I could use them as DRL's alone.
Has anyone done an LED replacement for the bulb and got actual better performance from the Fog Lights?

asusa, I'm considering one of your sponsored 'water injection systems'. What kind of amazing performance increases do you see?

I believe the headlight washers were required because they were concerned the LED's didn't heat up enough to melt snow accumulations. I've used them once or twice, to ensure they work.
