No 16" wheel option for the Three. Alloy wheels is an option for Three, but at 15".

    16" wheels only on Four.

Keep in mind the difference between list price and what you actually negotiate ;)

just looked at the manual again.

no auto up/down or automatic jam protection on any windows except for the driver's side. lame.

then again unless you have kids you probably don't care about that…

I have two kids I don't think they've ever triggered this. I just have the window lock out button pressed. Not a big deal.

Hoping demand is low, because otherwise, it may be hard to negotiate down. May be easier for me, I'll just say I'll get a Fit for four grand less and walk out. Oh... to get a deal on the C! :)

usually the dealer will not honor the price posted in the internet, at least that's
my experience when I bought my previous cars. its either you know "someone inside" or you have a long relationship w/ that particular dealer.

Engineering types: Why is the coefficient of drag up to .28, and how much difference will it make from the lower coeff. of drag on the regular Prius?

And when will the official MPG figures come out?

The shape of the back of the car is less slippery:D The car has a lower frontal area, so cdA is about 1.06x the cdA of the gen III prius lift-back. Lower weight and narrower tires give it lower rolling resistance. As speed increases drag becomes more important than rolling resistance.

I don't think we expect it to change from the reported 53/46/50. The car is already on route to dealerships.

Any idea which of the wheels we've seen in pictures and videos are the 16s and which are the 15s? The one set is pretty much just 8 straight spokes, but the other is 8 curvy spokes.

If only buyers would get organized. We could form a cartel to force suppliers to cut their prices. ;)

That's pretty good considering the standard for this class is simply auto-down driver's side window. Auto up/down is a "step up" (just like how our Gen 2 Prius was in the rare class of auto up/down driver's side window for that class in that era).

Do you really need it on a car this small?

There's no Prius C Five, so there's no ATP either, and thus there's no IPA/APGS.

btw, am I correct in reading that there's no back-up camera on this car at all, even on the higher model grades?

I didn't see one on the equipment list. I really needed to add one on my gen III liftback, as it has awful rear visibility. The prius c looks like it will be better, but hopefully they will have an input ready in the head unit to add a camera.

In the owner's manual posted in the Toyota's website there is no information on the owner's manual for the backup camera so I'm assuming it's not going be available for this year.
