Any suggestions of what Europeans might be getting are speculation at this stage. Toyota-Europe.com does not even acknowledge the existence of a new model yet. Nor does Toyota.co.uk. I think we'll know more after the Geneva Motor Show (starts 5 March, next Thursday).

Dam they changed it! now it's 9 o'clock at my location and at Melbourne. I'll be off to work by then so I'll see if my phone's internet connection's fast enough to watch it lol.

Oh come on, they have one rigged up like many of us would have liked to see in the US Lol! 15" rims but with the advanced tech and moonroof/solar option...

And I am sure it wouldn't have been THAT much more money to put those side view mirrors on ours here in the states with the turn signals built into them... Or at least on the advanced tech models considering the price they will sell for.

Ah, its a beautiful looking car nonetheless! And I have to say it looks great even with the 15's (which I have never liked) in this picture/color/headlights etc. Really, I love it.

wow, is that Winter Grey? It looks a lot better in that photo than in real life =P. I definitely need to see Winter Grey outdoors under the sun. It seems like one of those colours that change your perception depending on lighting condition.

At PCD, Winter Grey felt too muted, and the funny thing is I said if I got another 2nd gen, it would be Magnetic Gray (or now the darker blue). They just didn't compare in the end.

I know, that's why I had to pause for a moment when I saw the Melbourne picture.

I noticed fog lamps and sunroof in the picture. Maybe they will be available together here?

Not again with the fog lights?

The colour you see (which I forget the name of) I was told will not be available in the US.
The car will likely be available in 2 trim levels, base and iTech.
The base model will be similar in trim to the current base model but without the touch screen. I forgot to ask about a stacker.
Fog lights will most likely be standard on both.
iTech will include adaptive cruise, self parking, pre-collision, solar vent and remote air, leather, reverse cam, electric lumbar adjust, manual height adjust driver's seat, 4 stack MP3 capable CD and DVD nav.

Nothing is final yet. Lane keep assist was not included as it was too expensive to calibrate to Australian roads for the volume of cars sold here. 12,000 Prius sold to date in AU.

There will be a pre-release opportunity to drive the new Prius somewhere in Australia, most likely Sydney, I have been assured an invite, I can't wait.
Release is expected in the second half of the year.

The new Camry Hybrid prototype was also on display, I love the paint and new front which I think creams the new US Camry Hybrid front.
The colour is all new and not a production colour. It is on display for comment. A low sheen white with a pearl clear. I love it.

Thanks to all the Toyota People there for answering my dumb questions. Particularly Peter Evans and Todd Connolly. I have to admit I forgot all the names, it hasn't been a great weekend for personal reasons.

I might add, the ladies working on the Toyota stand were stunning!

One is the button(s) for the heated seats and the other is a 12vdc outlet. Here's a pic from a stateside model:

There is only a 12v power outlet, the other object is the switches for the heated seats.
Edit: - I should read all posts before posting.

Yes again with the fog lamps. I hope I can get a special order here to get them. You folks are so lucky in Australia to have them standard.

It's kinda sad that theyr'e still offering only 2 models with such a large price gap in between.

Patsparks, do you have any idea on how much a touch screen will cost if I can order one with the base model? Thanks in advance.

Mate, the yanks have more information about their car than we do and they don't know that yet.
There is no pricing yet. I crawled all over the Prius in Detroit, at Melbourne I couldn't get within 6 feet of the new Prius.

See Pat? You'll get to drive it soon enough!!

Hmm, so height adjustable seat is no longer standard on the Aussie version?
