    The gasket could have already started to fail when you did the egr system.
    Or it could be completely unrelated. No one REALLY knows.
    Well, at least you won't have to clean them again, or it will be quicker and easier to
    clean them when you do the head gasket. (y)

    Probably is; I redid the whole thing in Sep 2023 and has been going strong ever since!
