I noticed that on one of mine, but realized that I hadn't pushed the housing in all the way on some of the bottom tabs.

Okay. I noticed that on the pass side as well. The install is complete, and they look great! Took me about 3.5 hours. I got very nervous though when my wife started the car afterwards and it sounded like something rattling. Almost as though the wires were in the fan blades. Hasn't happened again though, so I think I'm safe....

I ziptied everything under the hood except the ground and hot wire. Way too cramped quarters and potential bolt/screw loosing area.

Might be a stupid question, but can you set the fog light switch to "on" so each time you turn on the headlights, the fog lights will also come on without having to press the switch? Then you can turn them off by pressing the switch. Basically, if I want to drive with these on each time I have my headlights on, I don't want to have to press the switch.

    Thanks in advance.

Yep. Just leave the button depressed (assuming you've followed the PDF). Just note that they do not turn off with the high beams so be aware you'll have 6 forward-facing lights which is illegal is most, if not all, states.

I had looked into this but eventually ordered a Prius five. One dealer said they could not install them (when I was looking into a four with solar) and I found your site on a Google search while looking for them! Also, PriusChat Shop has best price! (Now if we can only get a deal on the mirrors!) - hint...
I see the fog light kits on eBay for $180 and up! Some other Toyota dealers in the South offer it at $279 installed w/new car. My next mod will be side LED mirrors like CivicSky and after that the ScanGauge II tool. Thank you for the info and install guides! I'm Going nuts waiting for my car on 4/11.

I posted this before. Just thought it might be helpful to those in California. California's law is:
24405. (a) Not more than four lamps of the following types showing
to the front of a vehicle may be lighted at any one time:
    (1) Headlamps.
    (2) Auxiliary driving or passing lamps.
    (3) Fog lamps.
    (4) Warning lamps.
    (5) Spot lamps.
    (6) Gaseous discharge lamps specified in Section 25258.
    (b) For the purpose of this section each pair of a dual headlamp
system shall be considered as one lamp.
    (c) Subdivision (a) does not apply to any authorized emergency
    vehicle.

So, you can have the high beams and low beams (as they only count as one light) and the fog lamps all on. I don't know the law in the other states so you should look that up.

    Hope this helps.

Just got my kit installed professionally in under an hour. Guys on here average 2-3 hours. I noticed that they are aimed kind of high for fog lights though..

    2011 Fog Light Installation Update
Just finished installing the OEM kit supplied here. There are a couple of things to note about the 2011 Prius. First the Fusebox is a little different, so the instructions are close but not exact. I mounted the relay just below the fusebox to a threaded insert in the body. Photos Attached. Total installation time was about 2 1/2 easy (took my time) hours.

so I had an issue with mine after about 4 months....neither bulb would come on. The switch would illuminate and I could hear the relay clicking so I checked the bulbs. I disconnected 1 bulb from the socket and plugged it back and it worked.....1 put some silicone grease in the socket and and re-installed. Same thing on the other side. Note - there was no corrosion, it just seems like something with the connectors is not right....but they're working again...for now.

I ordered HOEN xenon match bulbs...much whiter than the super yellow bulbs they came with and I didn't want to fart with another xenon kit for the fogs

    $36 shipped
