Small point on the option list - the CD changer in NAV/MDF equipped vehicles is only 4 discs - at least that's how it was equipped on the display models. Not clearly spelled out in the feature list, but worth mentioning. With MP3/WMA and optional iPod integration, I doubt most will miss the other two discs.

Also, I thought navigation models also had bluetooth audio?

I hope they make fog lights a port or dealer installed option so we aren't forced to shell out for an unwanted, expensive option package to get them.

Oh, and hurry up with Prius I or the rumored $17K base model Honda Insight will hurt Prius market share quickly. I get the feeling that once gas goes above $4 again, brand loyalty will be out the (solar roof) window.

Believe it does... or is that part of the Tech package? Wonder if anyone @ the last 3 events took notice of the audio panel in the blue model?

Correct-Bluetooth audio streaming. I was told at Chicago event this will even be possible with iPhone, by using an addon device.

well then, that's good news for PDA and iPhone users! I wonder if laptop works too?

It's part of the Prius V package.

I'm not a car buff, but can you just replace the 17" rims/tires or is there some other modification made to the car to do this?

I wonder what the approximate cost to replace the 17"ers with the original models would be.

I want Bluetooth Audio, Adaptive Cruise Control and LKAS, but have no interest in 17" rims if there is a mpg penalty. They seem like a bug not a feature.

What is a priority program participant? How does one become one?

Prius Priority is an invitation only program Toyota has extended to a select group of Prius enthusiasts with the option of being the first to be able to purchase one of three 2010 Prius packages at a discounted price. Pricing and discounts have not been released.

Darn it! I'd even be happy just to get on the list -- the discount isn't that critical to me!

Yes, can be easily swapped out. Shouldn't really cost you, since dealer ca sell your 17" wheels for a profit, or someone hee will trade wheels with you. A Chicago dealer had concerns about tire wear on low profile tires. On the other hand, the 15" is definitely the ugly stepsister.

Ugh, now I'm torn. Package 4 is the one that includes everything I want, but it has one feature I just can't tolerate - leather seats. The smell of leather makes me ill. I don't know how I am going to live without 3-door smart entry. :( Of course maybe these options will change between now and the 2011 model so maybe I will get lucky?

And while I'm whining a little, bring back Tideland Pearl for 2011 please! That was my favorite color and I missed it by a year.

Didn't see any mention of USB. Did I miss it?

What I can't understand is why would Toyota not offer a medium or light blue color when Seaside Pearl was such a hot seller. Why also does the Toyota web site show a prius in a medium blue color if they are not going to offer it?

So, if I want to get a simple option such as the 3-door SmartKey (which I assume will unlock the hatch and passenger door by touching it), which is a feature I really love in my 05 model, I would have to spring for the really upscale (and probably pricey) package IV? No thanks.

I must admit, that is the most bizarre and irrational feature packaging I've seen so far. I suppose the PLM folks at Toyota have their reasons for doing that, I just can't figure out what those reasons are.

I guess if you don't have package IV then you'll have to press the Unlock button on the fob when you're not on the driver's side. Oh well, not a deal breaker by any measure...

You sure the "Plasmacluster" is on package V too?... I only saw it on package IV?
Also.... every ionizer I have been acquainted with in the past has to have the ionizer metal shield changed from time to time due to too many molecules being released from the metal and it gets brittle and quits working... will this also have a similar maintenence issue to keep working properly?

Also, will these options be available to the PCD group with the special offer, or is this a peek to what only the general public will be getting offered at regular pricing?

USB audio and/or iPod sync will be dealer installed add-ons. I belive the current iPod sync is something like $299 MSRP for other cars. I'd probably spring for it at a slight discount.
