OMG, Jack Daniels and MOM together? What a combination.

Top it off with a shot of Tequila and some Imodium. That ought to fix you up real good! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

My father in law had a 96 Camry wagon. That was a sight to behold:confused:.

I thought it was funny how they put 2 wipers on the back window. As if you needed that extra 10 square inches of visibility.....

IMO, you can't go wrong with a station wagon. I had more than one, and loved every minute and mile in them. Very versatile and great for those who have large families and or need lots of room for hauling.

Actually owned two different wagons over the years. One Ford LTD Wagon and one Mercury Sable Wagon.

And pulled one of the these behind the LTD for a long time. Went all over the country with this beast.

They got good use out of the white 96 wagon. Even came equipped with a sun roof. The drivers armrest on the door was terrible and ended up with a hole that tore more than 1 shirt. Went to the local pick n pull to get a replacement, and installed it, only to have my father in law ask " you couldn't find one with the built in speaker"?

That jump seat in the back could be useful. Now I know why they had 2 wipers. So both people sitting in the back had a great view:).

Bought the LTD wagon used, a year later bought a 1966 Starcraft Starmaster 8. Paid $1500 for it cash. It was 12 years old then. Had a new canvas on it. Went to Marathon, FL in it and spent a week there. Went to Indiana in it and spent a week there, then a week coming back staying in different places. Went to Colorado many time in it, and camped all over Texas. Would go at least twice a month during the Spring and fish all weekend at Lake LIvingston. Just me, the wife and the dog. We had a ball and saw a lot of country and did it rather cheaply too. Sold the trailer a few years back. Top was rotted out and one of the cables was broken. A guy was going to convert it into a hauler or something. All I know is he gave us $500 cash for it.

A cool $1000 investment that gave us many years of enjoyment, both winter and summer. Actually loved Winter camping better than summer. You could always build a nice camp fire and get warm. Still remember the baked potatoes in the fire and cooking rib eye steaks in foil on the hot coals. Yummy for sure.

Sounds like a lot of nice memories. My old man had a brown 81 blazer with a 305 in it (one of Chevys best pairings) that we had a Terry pull behind to tow. He worked road construction and would travel all over PA wherever work was (gone 6 days a week most summers). But when he was home, we would take that camping somewhere, didn't matter where.

He ended up buying the neighbors old one and put it down by the pond and spends a fair bit of time there now that he is retired.

I always liked camping in the winter. Less bugs:).
