Bough a 2011 Prius 2 in Blizzard Pearl with 3 miles on the odo on 12-31, did not test drive. I knew I wanted one. Paid $20,996 before TT+Registration.
Bought a used 2010 Barcelona Red Prius "V" 1/14/12. Paid $24,915.50 out the door before taxes. It also has the $1500 Rosen Headrest DVD system installed. Luckily I picked this one up with only 10,250mi on it, and the above price included the Toyota Certified warranty above and beyond the remaining 26,000 comprehensive factory warranty. I plan to keep it 10 years or longer, assuming there is no "unnatural cause of death." Good deal? What do you all think?
Just saw a 2010 Prius "V" in Barcelona Red w/ 5500 miles sold on eBay yesterday for $22,700... Someone got a steal
Bought a new 2011 Model Five today. MSRP was $32,408. Paid $28,200 before taxes. Wasn't really planning to buy new and definitely wasn't planning to buy today, but this seemed like a good deal.
hi everyone, new here but been a long time lurker. a local dealer has a 2010 prius V for 18k. 17 inch wheels, navi, etc. is this a good deal? i will be going to take it out for a spin tom. it only has 24k miles on it. any feedback would be much appreciated. thank you
Ahhhhhhh, YA!!! :mod: Make sure you check the Car Fax because that seems like an awful low price to me, make sure it wasn't in a wreck. I paid $17,750.00 for a base 2010 Blizzard Pearl.
$18k seems quite low. Here in Colorado, if in excellent condition, that car would sell for at least $21K. I've seen some non-Toyota dealers that take a Prius in on trade that don't realize they have a pkg five and are willing to sell it for less, but these sell very fast.
Doesn't sound too bad. It must have been a rental, fleet or lease vehicle though. I see lots of 2010 Prius with 30k miles on them going for $14k but you have to deal with the fact they were probably a rental.
we're looking to buy a used 2010 prius II, former fleet vehicle with high mileage. Have been to some dealers and gotten bids for 18,000 (+350 docs) for 44k CPO, 16,800(+$500 docs) for 42k miles, 16,500(+$300 docs) for 53k miles, and now found one from an auto repair shop for 15,400 for 52k miles (no docs fee other than reg fees). all the non-CPO vehicles appear to be in the same "very good" KBB condition, and have clean carfaxes. the price variance appears to be from the auction purchase dates, as used prius values have gone up and down in the past year. We're going for the cheapest car and getting it inspected by an independent dealer prior to purchase, to confirm the "very good" condition. Any thoughts? We live in MA. I am hard on cars (not while driving, but I tend to scrape the sides/fenders when parking) so I didn't think it made sense to invest in something new.
your right about selling very fast. when i went to the dealer that morning someone was already signing papers fortunately though last week another dealer got one and this time i bought it right away, paid 24k OTD (with 8 years platinum warranty) for this one though, figured would rather have a used 2010 V than a brand new 2011 II. been looking for one for the past 3 months, boy are these V's rare here in FL.
I bought a 2010 package IV with solar roof, leather and navigation last month with 60k miles. I bought it from a local Ford dealership, car fax shows no accidents or any other issues. It was $16K, I think it was a good deal considering the others I was seeing.
This is UK data: 2010 model on a 59 reg (UK readers will know what it means) with 47k miles on the clock T-Spirit, one previous owner, Vermillion Red, leather seats plus usual T-Spirit equipment (satnav, park assist, rearview camera, bluetooth, HUD, etc). Bought from a franchised dealer, advertised at £12,875. Part-ex'ed my 53 reg BMW 325i, worth about £1,600 according to webuyanycar.com. The dealer initially wanted £11,500 after part-exchange, settled for £10,500. I could have bought it cheaper from independent dealer, but I wanted the peace of mind of 12 month warranty... Given the fact that it has leather seats (rare in UK) I recon I did quite well...
