2 different dealers and both say ac within specs, blows 44 degrees out of vents. Will not cool down in any reasonable time if above 90+ temp. I live in So. Calif. Anyone have a suggestion to get this fixed correctly. For 4 years I have to put up with this in the summer, and then when winter? comes around there is no problem. Toyota lets you down when you need them the most. The car has been a pain since I bought it new in 07. It almost lived in the shop it's first 2 yrs. with many defective items that Toyota says were right but finally agreed was not. Windshield, electrical, tires, dash, AC, radio, headlights, etc.

    Thanks

Well, you might have a lemon. Which dealers serviced the car's AC?

Have you tried Longo in El Monte?

Capistrano Toyota and Toyota at the 5 - 405 frwy. Talked to others and they agree that it should cool down WAY better then it is. To old to go the lemon law route. Just want the ac to work when I need it on those hot days we sometimes have here.
    Thanks

Wow that sucks. My 2007 with 28K responds exactly like Patricks.
I will say if the car is out in the sun all day it takes a little while to cool the car down but real soon its chilly. Really has one of the better performing ac's I've ever had in a car but because of the strict recirc is prone to becoming moldy smelling if not used correctly.

If you don't mind could you please list a little details of all the repairs listed. Were you in an accident?
Your list sounds very excessive and previous repairs may have a clue to your present problem. My car has never been to the dealer yet.

It seems like you are located in or near south OC. You might try Rancho Santa Margarita Toyota (which is affiliated with Longo.) I had a few warranty issues taken care of there when I was living in south OC, and received excellent service.

The car was bought new and no accidents at all. Problems were:

1: The windwhield had 7 4" round circles that you could only see when there was moisture in the air. Toyota could not 'Duplicate" the issue so I had to take pictures of it to prove to them. They tried to 'Buff" out the circles and made it way worse, guess they were trying to save moiney. Took 4 service calls befor they would replace the window.

2: The headlights, HID, would go out one at a time intermittently and again Toyota could not dupicate the issue. Again I had to take pictures to prove that one or the other light was out. The lights would switch from left to right....wierd.

3: The 16' tires would pull HARD to the left or right, whichever they felt like and again Toyota could not duplicate the problem or said that that was normal. I had to buy a complete set of rims and tires in 15" and guess what.... they did not pull to the side, nice and straight.

4; The dash had a bad vibration any time the road was any way near rough, like any all roads in America,,,duh. It was so bad it would give me head aches and eye strain after a while of driving. This went on for so long that I demanded Toyota bring in a reginal rep to look at this and he agreed that this was not right and to fix it. Had broken mounts in the dash taht caused the problem, BUT it took over a year and at least 8 visits for TOyota to admit there was a problem.

5: the ac as described before.

6: a few others but somewhat minor

Toyota does NOT stand behind there product like they should and will not admit any fault unless you can prove it as they believe they are right and know everything. Guess what Toyota, sometimes you are wrong and at fault. Admit it and stand behind your product. I paid $33,000 for my "quality" car and feel I was ripped off by poor customer service and a defective product.

I still have my carpool lane stickers ..........................

Wow that REally sucks. So many issues. The broken mounts in the dash got my attention. How the hell do you have broken mounts in the dash? Thats a first here at PC at least I've never heard of that.
Which means the dealer tore the dash apart to fix those. Did the ac fault coincide soon after that event?

In any case I would imagine its back to the dealer for a repair but please post back on there findings.

I am against insurance on anything that you can actually afford to lose. Car repair is one of them. Sorry if that's off the topic.
