2007 Prius software problems

As you say it's a 2001 so it about 5 years old now (with lot of miles). My 5 year old Maxima had electronics problems as well. Some days it simply wouldn't start and all electronics where dead even though fuses, battery etc was fine, wiggling the key etc didn't work. A few hours later it would start fine. Some times it would drain the battery when this problem occurred. Never found the root cause. I'm sure AAA liked me but now I'm a member of the better world club that are much more supportive for "green" casues
