I am not sure what price range and material specs you had for the first calendar. Let me know details and I can make a call to my printers. Also if you need graphic work, I'm available to help. I can handle all formats and sizes. Danny... feel free to email me directly to my personal account.
thecan - very cool! I'll contact you directly about a few pieces of input I have. chantrelle - I PMed you back. I'll give that # a call on Friday or Monday. Thanks for the lead! techogurl - I dropped you a PM. Thanks for the quick help, all. Keep it coming!
thecan's photo is great and has my vote for the calendar. Only change would be to spell calendar correctly.
My Contributions: [Broken External Image]:http://www.geocities.com/ligerfour/calendar1.jpg and [Broken External Image]:http://www.geocities.com/ligerfour/calendar2.jpg The first one took a lot of photoshopping to make the car look like it was actually in the photo. I personally prefer the second one though. I also don't know if it should say "Priuschat 2006 Calendar" or "2006 Priuschat Calendar". I'm open for any ideas. Thanks.
"So advanced it makes the future look obsolete" LOL, I had forgotten that cheezy marketing line! Nice touch with the earth - looking right at the middle east.
With that scenery - complete with windmills on the hill - I was so expecting Baby Sun from Teletubbies in the side mirrors. [Broken External Image]:http://www.tubby.jp/teletubbies/TeletubbyLand/TeletubbiesHP43212.jpg My vote is also for thecan's picture.
[Broken External Image]:http://www.ambientmining.com/cover50pct.jpg Here is my entry. The theme of the photo is "A Powerful Community" The version here is only about 1/4 scale of the full print-ready version, but I hope it gets the point across. You will not be able to zoom in with full quality on this posted version. To create the picture, I personally visited each of the priuschat home pages of over 10,300 members and grabbed all avatars (close to 1,000). That process was started Thanksgiving morning, and I finished up at 5:30 AM Saturday. I then shot a picture of my car's start button, and then recomposed that picture using scaled down version of those avatars. I tried my best to use everyone's avatar that had one posted on Thanksgiving. Apologies if I somehow did not use your avatar, or if you have trouble finding it in the photo. It is fun way to play "Where's Bill Merchant." I enjoyed meeting each of you (virtually via your priuschat home pages) and one day hope to meet you in person. I have a 4Mb 300 dpi version of this ready for the printer if necessary, I will try to find a way to make it available. If you all select this one for the cover, I will need the print size and dpi specs from the printer in order to generate a print-quality version. Enjoy -- -- bigdaddy [edited to correct typo and to change image from attachment to linked image]
BigDaddy, that picture kicks some major butt! I have to admit that no matter what picture wins the cover, I'm going to print them all out and hang them somewhere in my office. I've found Bill a few times. Even the GM logo (nice touch). I love that I can stare at it and see familar pictures buried within.
Bigdaddy, that is awesome! Danny, if that isn't the cover, I'd sure like to see it as one of the months.
I FOUND ME!!!!!!!! Also found Bill - who can miss the great mustache. Who has the GM logo avatar? I hadn't seen that one before.
What about finding a nice prominant place for Bigdaddy's work on the PriusChat main page? It would add a warm and fuzzy element
WOW!! i can barely manage to say that... AND at 5,000 + posts, i am rarely speechless, Big Daddy, that is just too awesome. we need to get a nice large high res poster... i would definitely buy one
I think that the photo collage should be made poster size...it doesn't do it proper justice to be made small calendar size. On a side note... I don't see my avatar there.
I love this concept -- even more than my own entry... however, just for the sake of brand loyalty, perhaps the "GM" one should be removed, seeing how littering a Toyota-oriented calendar with another car-makers logo can be a bit discerning. ;p
