2005 Prius - won't start. Due to cool weather conditions?

    cool..thats a very long commute it should have a wicked good charge on it. Time get a volt meter and see whats up. Everything else is supposition.

    You can also check your 12v aux battery without buying a Digital Volt meter buy simply putting the Multi-function display, aka MFD, into diagnostic mode.

    I hope that I'm wrong, but given the intermittent nature of the combination meter problem (particularly when it first starts happening), is it possible that this was the problem all along and the dealers just went on a $5k crapshoot to "fix" it?

    Rms2005, hopefully that's not what happened, but can you tell us exactly what the car was doing (what were the driveablity issues, were there any "state of charge" anomalies, was the rear battery fan running hard etc) just prior to the 5k repair, and do you know what (if any) any diagnostic codes were read by the dealer?
